Merry Christmas 2022! ​

We at Arcadia are pleased to announce Snowbrook Christmas 2022.

This year (in an attempt to improve the experience) the whole event has been simplified and reduced into basic public / private dungeons. There will be no sieges or province spawns. On the whole, monster strength has been reduced and spawn numbers increased so that the event will be more similar to Halloween’s City of the Damned which was well received this year.



Snowbrook Grotto​


Players will see Old Saint Nick appearing in Snowbrook (220:130) ready to teleport you to the one and only Snowbrook Grotto – Six vast dungeons of ice and snow, where goblins and minions will send chills throughout your body. Look out for the super-boss Grotto Troll and his lieutenant Grotto Guardian, amongst hordes of thrilling, chilling, sub-zero-killing monsters with fingers full of jewellery.

✓ Snowbrook Grotto – Cavern 1 [Easy] – (Levels 100 and below)
✓ Snowbrook Grotto – Cavern 2 [Hard] – (Levels 120 and below)
✓ Snowbrook Grotto – Palace 1 [Difficult] – (Levels 140 and below)
✓ Snowbrook Grotto – Cavern 1 [Nightmare] – (Level 140-160)
✓ Snowbrook Grotto – Cavern 1 [Insane] – (Level 160-180)
✓ Snowbrook Grotto – Cavern 1 [Legendary]– (Level 180+)



And ho ho ho .. Watch out for Sneaky Santas or Rune Goblins escaping the scene with Jewels, Gems and Loot!



Grotto Highlights​


✓ Snowbrook Grotto – 4 instanced dungeons with 6 large maps

Santa’s Private Grotto​


Active again from last year are the private Grotto hunts. Find Santa’s lost presents and return it to him to take a trip to his Grotto, a private mini-dungeon and a chance to collect more runes and rares. Christmas Trees and Sneaky Santas drop the presents to help fill Santa’s Sack.

Dungeons have been improved from last year with new maps, a different arrangement of monsters and revised drop files.

Get rare loot including Skills, Arcamon, Mounts, and selected GameShop items such as Recall Sets, Drake Necklaces etc.



Extended Event Buffs​


Enjoy the nee year with extended event buffs:

  • XP Multiplier 1.5x from Jan 3rd to Jan 6th
  • 3x Super and Champs from Jan 7th to Jan 9th

All sounds awesome, except the 180 limit on top cave, should have been 190. I predict it's going to be waaaay too busy in there
 
Large present Cave buggy mobs vanish behind floor tile maps yet still hit you and insane tele in area , was same last year until a fix was made .... 1000 mobs on you and your pets as soon as you tele in ....
disapointed still same issues as last year to start with .....

Rest pets before you go in, lure a few mobs away to make a clear area, then run back and recall pets. Cave still pretty easy. Nice touch having the spearers and fighters a bit tougher, hopefully next time GM makes all the mobs like that :D

Great move increasing mob count in private caves too

I always wait with pets but had 2 red and 2 red fighters spearers at the ent etc 4 times in row now so I given up hopefully someone will clear that crap may give it a bash later of xmas but wont spend money on it till its fixed depends on which class also as wiz can trans past the ent if reds etc warriors can dash etc
 
I usually don't get involved in this type of things but what I have seen till now is such a mega fail that I had to say something.
1. Took me 100 rt bundles to realize that in snowbrook aren't any Christmas trees , Santa's deers snowman etc .
2. 180 cave means 75% from active server are in the same cave ( good luck finding a proper lure )
3. Santa almost impossible to fiind since all server are in same cave I have run till KR and haven't fiind any some other players told me they found 1-2 max
4. GG caves are very difficult from a warrior point of view , while tao and wizz can kill from far and they have bloodstream and healing ,war has to stay face to face with moobs that slows you instantly and hit very hard from distance ( I'm a 192 warrior with more that a decent kitt ) and I really struggle to stay alive from lure of 5-8 moobs
5. Moobs disapear under floor tile and can't eaven see them while they still hit you
6. After 2x GG cave got only lvl 175 -180 items drop and I'm lvl 192...

its such a shame this event is aimed at GG caves again and GG caves are super hard with stupid spearmen being OP makes doing a lure solid unless you have a top end kit

and 180 is overcrowded again cant even find a blue never mind a grp of mobs. joke I wont be playing anymore, we look forward to this event for this...
 
Are you two the same person or something?

1. I used 3 bundles of RTs and no longer than 3mins to realise Snowbrook Province is not part of the event this year (no siege message helps to verify my assumption)
2. I just spent 45mins in 180+ cave and didn't struggle to find mobs, I was actively killing the whole time and filled the kill chain meter without trying, hunted my way to 2nd floor and just left.
3. Found a few snowmen, one reindeer and one Christmas Tree and tt'd with a small present (in 45mins!)
4. Gonna try my free SmallPresent out later or tomorrow
5. Macer mob vanishes, but also stay in same spot, whenever he casts ice. I don't see this as anything more than a feature that adds difficulty. Baring in mind this is the only mob that has any level of difficulty.

Guys I've been playing a level 140 character up until the last day or two, how can you be finding this difficult if you've managed to reach level 192?

I think you'd enjoy just casually playing, or get a group together and clear your diary for 2 hours whilst ploughing through some floors, and importantly, relax. Merry Christmas.

Reach 192 on a war and try the event before trying to lecture me . And no were not the same persone . And 1 small present in 45 min wow
 
Shit event, no Santa, no trees, no deers, last year was much better. And drop are really craps. Same as Halloween, last year was better.
 
The issues for warrs is we normally use frost frenzy in events, keeps mobs slowed and can survive. As we can’t for Xmas mobs warrs die fast even though mobs stats r probs not crazy VS halloween mobs

Please up the spawn rates for trees, reindeer and santas (if they exist, I have yet to see one yet...)

I have always liked that you include those that cannot or will not buy gg in your events in that they too can access gg caves with the free presents. You have made trees too rare, people may not longer see this as an option given the spawn rates. It just leads to frustration.

I personally think that having the odd hard mob in amongst the others is welcome. While it stops me mass luring and sure as hell will slow me down, I now need to have a strategy. Also, the exp is excellent on those harder mobs and, in general, is pretty good overall.

I don't understand why small presents cannot be combined to make medium? I do, however, understand why large are gg only.

Also, as Al said, are the drop files correct? Are higher items in there?

Not sure whats the point having this event.. it’s Christmas please be generous for at least exp and mobs.. its my first Christmas event and i really disappointed.. at least try it by yourself..enter the cave during peak hour and see what u get..
