What's the logic behind hidden drop items

I think we all appreciate the extra element resists on the unique items that are dropping now, but I can't really understand the idea behind why they are bound / hidden drop

Can anyone shed any light on why they are like that?

Unsure, but the bound and no drop part of it needs to be removed, op items that you cant even drop!

It can entice more people to get involved with wars and PK elements. I generally have only one kit and not wealthy enough in game to fork out for multiple kits or afford to replace itmes lost in wars so never helped out.

With Hidden Drop & Bound to account items I'm now hapy to join in when I can knowing Im more likely to get kit back if/when I drop it...

Most of your guild is all in full bound kit now when they come to wars, so our only choice is to do the same. You think anyone will even bother with wars when everyone on the server is wearing bound kit? Anyone who's only playing for the pvp will go elsewhere, and those people tend to be the big spenders

So on that logic if one guild use their noggins and do something that gives them an advantage/benefit/does something another guild doesn't like you can get enough people to complain about it we can get it changed?? Makes perfect sense...

Of course they will. People still need guild gold for guild buffs. Only now people won’t drop items and rage quit :)

From the way I see it. The biggest spenders are highly PVE motivated

The non spenders are the ones who are mostly interested in wars and pvp.

If Andy don’t like it then I doubt we’ll see any higher tier acc bound items which means these current ones will eventually fade out in to old noob stuff anyway. Time will tell.
 
Some people might just wanna play without the risk of losing a weeks wages because of a screen freeze or lag.

Most wars I used to go to, there was more nights where nobody would drop than the ones where somebody did anyway, and the turnout was still decent.

Wars optional as is pvp. This brings more problems than it solves. One character could go to em. Wait till a guild starts killing it then jump them with very little risk of losing anything. Even when they die they could potentially have unlimited rev scrolls. 1 player with rev scrolls could pretty much take out a group, given enough gg.

This is true. You're always good at seeing the bigger picture haha

You can still drop the items, the risk is exactly the same, it's just that nobody else can see them or pick them up. If you lag out and die the item will be lost, can't even ask someone to go grab it for you
 
Ok maybe I can shed some light on this , as I was one of the 1st on the server to build a full non drop see kit.
Back when they 1st items started to drop from RDD BDP and Evil Centi , no one was intrested in experimenting with them . I took the intative and started to play around with them to see the full potential of such items.
They can drop from your body like normal items , just cant be seen or picked up by any1 but the owner , this means its possible to lose the item to the server but not to another player.
Whats the advantage in PVE non but in PVP it means you can often just pick the item off the deck and carry on as normal.
When I left imms i had no intrest in PVP or Wars but the server I felt was boring and I was fed up of the exp grinding day to day , maybe I had burnt myself out by trying to obtain levels to quickly and not enjoying other aspects of the game .... so when I saw the potential of the account bound items I siezed it and started making kit with them In my case it was join in wars etc or quit out of boredom the kit allowed me to explore that.
This gear has been around now for a long time many items in the AH have sold for 10gg as no 1 wanted them , now people are complaining that they not siezed this opertunity and calling for them to be banned or removed ----- my answer to that is go build your own sets stop moaning because of your OWN lack of foresight.............................................

You seems to realy miss the hole point of thread. Everyone can and will build those kits now. It what happends after we other that you aim for now is wondering. Dont realy understand why you get so personaly defending about this or want take glory for something ? It has absolute 0 with thread to do.

I'm interested in playing Mir too, mostly pve, but we forced to spend our time every evening going to wars because you guys declare on us every single day, we should have something to gain from that wasted time

Can we have our Xmas back please as we wasted time on Boxing Day etc for no shows and constant war submissions during holiday season

Yer we still get the guild gold. That’s mainly what wars are for.
The best of the best items that hold high value will never be acc bound.
There will always be tele rings recall sets, rejuv arms. Cele items, Elysian items. Lots that can still drop.

Why not switch it up and create somthing else to war for instead of kits.

I dunno. It’s a controversial subject.

I'm 100% with you on that one tbh, I'd be game for making castles 100% no player drops and make them very much more valuable to own/control. Everyone would go in their best kit and it would be wild.

That said, SW the other day was amazing fun, and that's coming from someone who doesn't usually like pvp, but that might just be because I spent half of it doing maths lol
 
Without non drop items the server will die. At lower levels hunting is great, PK'ing exists but there are plenty of places to go and groups to go hunting with so you have options, the higher you get these are so much less.

In the 180's it's the same few maps, the same players and nowhere to just crack on and get some exp without someone trying to pk you so no point...

I'm literally at the point of saying fuck it to the server as to get any level of exp need to hunt a decent amount of time but with the same few solo maps being worthwile you can't get stuck into a decent solo hunt without someone pk'ing you. If I had a decent non drop kit I may still be tempted to try and hunt but as it is...

Need some decent PVE maps...

One full dura pot in any cave is enough to make you hate it isn't it haha.
I'm currently in Halls of Agony and been here for the last few lvls, it is pure agony to have to keep going in there, most boring cave with the most boring mobs ever!
