Just curious if there is any feature update we gonna see like new Cap level new Rare kit new bosses server been dead again and again it needs some real work on it for players attention GM hope you doin great btw if there is you should share some hints it will bring joy to peoples good luck champ….

100% agree with this.
Maybe I hit new heights to quickly and didn't explore the game enough because now I'm 195 with a semi decent kit I don't have a clue what or where to hunt, because of this I haven't been logging in lately, now and again simply to help a few new players out. Leveling areas at 195 feels non existent and trying to find a boss feels impossible as the majority of the server are all hunting the same thing.

Unfortunately this is the case with almost all online games, i think considering how small the player base is compared to those like WoW, runescape. Diablo etc the admin here do a great job of trying to keep content coming and keeping player’s contempt, particularly as this is a secondary job to them as they also have lives, of course everyone wants more more more but sometimes smaller doses is better for both admin and the user to maintain the longevity of the server, i myself have campaigned for new content etc but when you look at the larger picture it isnt always in the best interest of all involved, i think adding on certain things like mining, herb crafting etc could really expand the game and keep you content or atleast something along those lines making the smaller things in the game more useful.

I mentioned Mining months ago, to make Platinum and Gold Ore useful maybe to craft Elysian Ore but obviously high purity and make the crafting a chore. Let's think what is rare? And make a recipe that's not to easy to exploit using both Platinum P15+ and Gold Ore P15+ and maybe have to craft a specific Oil with them or Even (E) socket items that can be a chew to craft and well are useless imo as most people with Elysian Items won't add these to them.

Make harder content to please the players who are bored at the top, and you get an endless stream of part timers trying to skip to the end and loudly complaining that it's too hard.

I've always pushed people in the direction of taking it slow and enjoying the journey. There's a huge amount of content to enjoy throughout the early and mid game, so much to explore and learn, but I've seen at least 100 times people skipping 95% of it and just focusing on levelling up then saying they are bored.

Whenever I get bored I make a new character and level it differently, it's a different experience every time, exploring different tactics in different caves, there's more than enough content. I don't just have the characters in my signature, I have approx 25 accounts, I love playing the mid level caves there's endless fun to be had. Doing the whole max SC nonsense and maxing out kit is barely a side quest at this stage. Don't compare yourself to others or try to rush for certain goals, just play the game and enjoy yourself. There's so many places to hunt that are fun, but you're discounting any that don't give you enough experience points.

GM has stated very clearly in the past that he is against any kind of mining. All it does is encourage AFK-play and bots. If you make it easy enough that an average person has a chance to get something useful out of it in less than a year, then the most committed players will exploit the shit out of it and have dozens of orbs within a month. GM has always advocated for features and content that require players to pay attention, that's why there's been a move away from certain notifications and to making it harder to find supers and champions. Adding mining in would be a step in the opposite direction.

Theres only so much fun to be had at mid level though, once youve made all 3 classes what is honestly the point of constantly making new chars to play the mid level gameplay, sure it has its perks and allows players to gain a better grasp of what the endgame content has to offer but unless you get some sort of cheap thrill from creating new players souly to play the mid level content you know your good at and a custom too theres only 3 possible stages to play it at, the game needs expansion but not in a way its forced to constantly update with new maps and content but more so adaptations to what is already available, i cant see an issue with afk mining, herbivore, crafting etc it opens up not only more content but also a bigger market, it seems daz is totally against any form of progress unless your locked into the game 24/7, not everyone has the time you do, dont take it personally as im not here to debate that, just to offer suggestions to further improve what players are asking for.

You're misunderstanding my point because of an incorrect view that I have loads of time to spend in the game.

I probably play less than you at the moment. If you add up time spent in the game over the last 3 months I'd be surprised if I was in the top 100.

I'm advocating for content to be engaging, rather than the usual case of just add another 100 AC and 100k HP to everything and call it a day. I don't see what mining adds to the game, how does that make anything more engaging?

Hi,

Was mining not a fundamental part of OG Mir ? So was afk mining and PK , but if the GM deemed this expolitable, it is not diffciult to add a timed recall in the mines, then flag the account/character and maybe make it a daily thing.

I`m with @ggggfv you seem very against server progression, if i had the time to run through the forum, i could pick many occasions where you downplay most peoples suggestions. I get the longevity aspect 100%, but without progression you are going to be playing solo dude very soon.

I'm absolutely not against progression. I'm against things that are easily exploitable and things that aren't engaging. Mining sits very firmly in both of those categories.

People come up with good suggestions all the time, and I support them. I've made plenty posts suggesting progressive ideas. But when there's a suggestion that I think will make the server worse as a whole, I will put forward an explanation of why I think that. It's all about balance.

It's very common for players to have an idea pop into their head and just post it without any wider considerations. GM needs to think about a lot of things that aren't mentioned in most player suggestions and analyse the work/benefit. If you think adding a timed recall in, flagging characters, timers etc., will stop people botting, you have never been on the other side of the coin. A determined player will always find a way. Why give them that opportunity? It's just creating another door you need to invent new locks for. GM time could be far better spent on developing new content that will be enjoyable to play.

How many level 195 - 200 characters paid somebody to level their chars and the same people will pay someone to mine their Ore and then claim to be bored again lol

Just gotta keep grinding whether it's ElyOrbs, exp, upgrade kit.. big guild fights brought the game back to life and now nobody seems to want it with anyone unless it's against the Immortals guild

It's always been the community what keeps this game going, not really the content

This hits the nail on the head. So many people skip to the end because they want to be competitive at the top levels, but in doing so they miss out on so much fun content, then complain there isn't enough content. Make it make sense.

Im not specifically saying add mining but add more broader aspects to whats already available in the game and expand on it, doesnt have to be mining was just a suggestion and i totally agree in not just adding levels to cap or introduction of new high tier gear, it costs me alot of money everytime the cap is raised 😅 it seems theres 2 sides if what should anf shouldnt be added but if there is no improvement on what can be done i cant see the server getting any busier which would be a shame as its 1 of the if not the best mir server around, as for you play less then me i highly highly doubt that as ive played probably 2 hours in 4/5 months.

Start by getting rid of the "Karma is low, can't see player count" restriction and all that teddybear stuff about losing karma or aura for fighting other players. It just makes the server too soft, and a joke. Let's be real here, PK is a major thing on mir 2, and for the majority of players it's what we play for. I understand the yellow -> red then tp to hell system but that's something original and fair. However adding more punishments to pkers isn't really fair.

1), consider making the Emily daily challenges a player drop zone. Most of the players who go there are level 198-200 PvP enthusiasts from different guilds, so turning it into a PK drop zone would be a blast. I might even skip work just to log in! XD.

2), could we possibly have a poll to revert the castle war changes? It used to happen every three days, but now it's on specific days of the month. Honestly, I preferred it when it was every three days. Does anyone else think the same? Or is it just me.

3), can we get a much-needed revamp of LastManStanding? The rewards are so outdated that winning LMS on Arcadia only gives you a BluePrizeBox with worse stats than the one on p69. At this point, the only real reward is the statue in Arcadia, which isn’t enough. There should be more, or at least a better version of the BluePrizeBox. You could even make it so the winner gets 200GG, 100GG, or a decent amount of demon souls—honestly, we'd take anything!

Forgot to add, I deffo would never even play or think of playing mir 2 if it had no PK, like if you could kill people and they drop nothing all the time guaranteed.

A fair point for sure

Something that I've pointed out enough times before but I think is worth repeating, is that the game has so many different aspects to it

  • Levelling
  • PvP
  • Bossing
  • Quests
  • Exploring
  • Building kit
  • Growing pets
  • Leadership (organised hunts)
  • Socialising
  • Helping newbies

Some people pick one of the above aspects and only do that one thing, and that's a completely valid way to play if that's the one thing you enjoy.

But I do notice that any time anyone complains about boredom, it's always people who are focused on one or two of those things.

People who do all (or most) of those activities find a lot more enjoyment in the game and are generally happier.

My advice to someone who is bored is to pick something from that list that you normally don't do, and give it a try. Blindly adding new caves only kicks the can down the road a few months and you'll be bored again, it doesn't solve any actual problem.

Heres my issues with your suggestions

Levelling - already at cap
Pvp - there was no pvp u till recently as half the server were in one or fighting for one guild
Bossing - probably the most enjoyable aspect of the game but there are so many bosses to hunt at a high level of which everyone wants a piece.
Quests - none of the quests are very gripping to say the least and offer minimal reward
Exploring - i dont really have time to potter about viewing the landscapes of the available maps.
Building kit - yes can build kit but mehh…
Growing pets - all of the best pets i have already grown the rest of the available pets are not much use to me
Leadership - i prefer to hunt alone as opposed to group hunting
Socialising - mehh
Helping newbies - i always help whoever asks, but ultimately im helping them get to the same point i am.

Where as we could just implement new tasks, broader expansion of whats available to keep people motivated instead of the dreary norm of killing bosses to obtain kit/items.

Yep, which leads to my suggestion that I posted a while back about expanding quests to make them more relevant, engaging and rewarding. Gives people a reason to explore because there's something to achieve.

Don't know if this is the same mindset as anyone else, but I only really play during events as it's a better use of my time... Why even bother going to Planes and getting absolutely murdered by mobs when I can just wait for an Event and breeze the levels......

I mean, I'd probably login more often if there were more daily quest options or something engaging to do...

Even though I suck at PVP, I still like Wars but getting two shot rev'd soon loses its fun quickly....

I think this is the approach I'm going to adopt going forwards.

Spend time between events grinding upgrade material and then level during events, because my availability to play is not adequate to achieve any worthwhile progress in the regular caves.

Should be able to get Elysian Ore solo not just in groups, like having ore drop from mobs in hellmouth but rare something like that so atleast solo players can hunt those places and get something out of it eventually or have it in quota but have it at the end of the rotation of all the quest items just some ideas, seems only way is to be in a grp to get ore at the moment.
