Got to say I also agree that server numbers are down. Sales on my stalls have fallen off the cliff. Golds not really selling either. I hardly sell any torches (Mags), after the cutting it from 3 hours down to 1.5 hours. I did ask Scorp about this October 2025 and I got :-

Hey
To be fair we used to have 3 tiers of them with 1h 2h 3h durations but everyone just bought the 3h.

Main reason for the change of time was the fact they are now removeable so people are reducing their consumption by taking them off. The "low" price was set due to the fact they were single use and it was a real choice which one to use (plus once upon a time they decayed in SZ).

I think the new sets are scheduled for later next year.. it's still a bit early for them.

So by his own admission everyone was buying 3h ones previously when there was a choice, even I rarely buy them now. Why not leave them at 3 hrs, what does it cost Scorp?, nothing, but the community would have been a lot happier if you just made them swappable. Scorp may even think that because gg mag sales are down to people taking them on and off. But I wouldn't mind betting its because people just don't bother with them because you cut time in half. He only had to change it because an update he added, did not allow us to be able to use it if we were using torches.

The Easter event when he sprung the restrictions on GG rooms, for me not so much of an issue, but for those other's that had bought Arcadian items thinking they would get the ore to upgrade their kit. Big slap in the face. Also no explanation as to why or that it was planned. I would have liked to of had the previous allowances using DS GG Loyalty and ME. Everyone has a choice then.

Helping Hero I just don't bother much to be honest, stupidly went in one with full moon, I think I was revved almost immediately and reds and blues every where. The moment the range mobs are there game over. I did complete one the other day but the new one wanted 120 Myth essence, so that's not happening just have to w8 3 days now before I attempt another one. There are a handful of members that don't come on now because of what has been happening and being busy with RL things.

It just has felt over the last 12/18 months, and my own opinion only, is the fact that Scorp is having a money grab in lots of ways. Pissing off the community as it goes. Yes it's a balancing act and very hard to keep all happy, but changing some of the basics and not listening to the community, not keeping us informed!. Let us know what your working on, what the plans are. LISTEN and FIX some of what the wide spectrum of your community is telling you, SHARE.

We've had a reboot and no update on the Event boards. Are we getting any buffs for the upcoming Bank holiday?. Is The Badlands coming back in the summer?

Personally I'm not buying anymore GG at the moment, not that I bought a great deal, just cycling through what I have on Gold stall. Just feel like a mushroom!!
Perfectly explained.

I quit last year after falling out of love with the game, afterall mir is nearly three decades old now and regardless of how much updates are added the base experience will always be the same.

The server went downhill once ely orbs were introduced, the constant need to collect ores for them just got such a drain.

Then constant events where ely item variants dropped like candy that made all the upgraded original ely items obsolete. This also ruined the economy.

Sadly this was a good server with alot of good people but as people have left the server has slowly died and people are the main reason a server survives long term ultimately.

Ely orbs isn't a mandatory need for u to play the game, there're other kits to use, but if u say u want to compete with other players but couldn't, then i get u. It's a personal choice tbh.

The thing is, there’s no middle ground because it’s such a small usercount.

The bosses, the server, the market are all controlled by a few. It’s impossible to catch up without paying real money.

With events being toned down for gg caves people can’t catch up by power levelling in events. Like those that are 205 got the benefit of.

It’s a difficult situation but I think it’s in a managed decline. Which is painful as I love this server, it’s the best Mir server there is hands down.

The people who are 205 plus have obviously put the effort in to reach that level. it's far easier to level now than it was years ago 100% I level my chars not just during event but inbetween too. Makes it so much easier and less demanding when events are on then. If your struggling to level it probably the guild your in that's not hunting as a group and that's when boredom kicks in.

each day I’m starting to feel the managed decline of the server more and more. Gm has had enough by the looks of it and is winding down. Nothing makes sense. There’s new Arcadian armours and weapons dropping everyday and no one has even upgraded any yet because most Ely ore sources have been tapped closed. The average player can expect to make probably 1 Elysian orb a year if they’re lucky at this moment in time. Bear in mind one upgrade on an Arcadian armour costs 81 ores. Weapon costs 81ores. Then if u want them to be better than the armours and weps we already have they need elys orbing. So we’re talking 4 years to upgrade a brand new endgame content armour and a weapon that is weaker than the Elysian stuff we already have. What a fucking farce lol. He’s defo handed the server to he’s kids to deal with I think 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m hanging by a thread il be gone soon

What we need is user count, make wars fun. PK if anything gets the adrenaline going which I miss.

I just feel it’s rinse and repeat at the moment so have fallen a little out of love of the game but if you have a group to hunt with it is still fun.

I just logged on, 103 people online, 16 are noobs in base dress in random towns/stalls

Plus me who isn't really playing. That's still 86 players kicking about on a 13 year old server. The problem is everybody is spread out all over the place - the game is so vast. 86 players probably 14 active guilds and hundreds of caves/zones.

Collectible upgrade quests on every single armour + weapon set after 160 is repetitive & tedious. Never been a fan, then ElysianOrbs with 5% resistance across the board just fucked it up even more

I was moaning in guild during event about the fact that I didn't have a single armour drop during whole event. Then I realised that there was no armours that could drop. Like you say from 160 to now no new armours.

I will partially disagree that scorps given up. With the interactions I've had with him, he obviously is planning and working on other updates for the future. But I just wish he would communicate this to the community and fix some of the issues that have driven so many to leave.

I also don't see elysian orbs as an issue, I am Level 209 I have made 1 L for armour 1st upgrade and obviously the XL for 2nd upgrade. No ely weapon, I gave that to someone. Levelling is a whole lot easier now than when I 1st started playing.

What takes the piss is, spending 1 year or more to upgrade ely armour to the 2nd stage and during event you see people level 180 just started with burningelys weap and armour... i got the armour on my warrior which is good but i didnt earn it... whats the point making ely ore so hard to get then event dropping so many fully upgraded items? like WHY? i understand lower level armours but people have wasted so much getting ely orbs/soruce for nothing

Overall, I started playing the server for nostalgia from D server with the intentions to kill massive lures like the old days.... however, as a warrior I've found it nearly impossible to level efficiently outside of events with mobs destroying me unless I'm spamming FF.

The problems I've faced solo levelling or with the game in general:

  • Melee mobs are programmed so they don't t hit you at the same time.....however range mobs seem to ignore this rule
  • Warriors are meant to be tanky, however our HP is far too small to cope with the massive numbers.
  • Don't know why Health Pots can't take up one spot instead of having to carry 10-20 bundles.
  • Toughening Potions are pretty much required to hunt However, these are so pricey, is it even worth the gold?
  • Crafting seems a total mystery to me.... and the amount of money I spent on it just didn't add up
  • Even though I suck at wars, it was still fun turning up and TTing every 30 seconds.

Additionally, from the sounds of it warriors still get battered even with crazy stats.....

I left the game some time ago, and unfortunately, this has been the worst and most disappointing period I have ever experienced. I will never return to the game again.

The Main Reasons Why I Left

1. Ely Orbs – One of the Biggest Reasons for the Server’s Decline

Ely Orbs are, in my opinion, one of the primary reasons behind the decline of the game. The cost of obtaining them is extremely high, whether through farming in GG Cave during events, purchasing them with GG points, or, as often happens, indirectly through real-money transactions.

Players with significant financial resources can easily acquire five to seven Ely Orbs, greatly increasing their resistances and overall strength. This creates a serious imbalance between players. In the long run, the game becomes less rewarding because progression depends more on spending money than on effort, skill, and dedication.

2. Extremely Fast Leveling in GG Cave

Another major issue is the excessively fast leveling in GG Cave. This is a complete mockery of MMORPG progression and destroys both the enjoyment of the game and genuine competition among players.

There should be a proper level cap or progression limit to preserve balance and maintain meaningful long-term competition on the server.

3. Ignoring Veteran and Important Players

One of the most damaging problems is the failure to listen to veteran and influential players—the very people who keep the server alive. Without these loyal players, the server would lose much of its activity, value, and community spirit.

4. Unfair Bans Without Concrete Evidence

I am referring to legitimate players, not those who cheat or exploit the game.

Many players are banned without any real, concrete, and verifiable evidence. Reports, complaints, and suspicions from other players should never be enough to justify a ban. Statements such as “I saw him” or “I think he is buying or selling” are not proof.

If a player is banned, they should have the right to defend themselves, especially if they believe they were treated unfairly. Ignoring appeals and refusing to respond only damages trust between the community and the game administrators.

5. Other Servers Offer a More Enjoyable Experience

Arcadia is undoubtedly one of the strongest and best Mir servers ever created.

However, there are other servers where the financial burden and grinding are far less demanding. Some servers I personally enjoy offer simple monthly subscriptions that provide buffs such as increased drop rates and experience gain. This creates a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience for players.

6. We Have Said This Many Times Before

We have raised these concerns many times in the past.

Unfortunately, some players dismissed our feedback and considered it nonsense. Today, after hearing the same concerns from many other players and seeing the reality for themselves, they have begun to understand that these issues are real and serious.
7. The Golden Era of the Server

In my opinion, the server between 2013 and 2016–2017 was far superior to its current state. The game was more balanced, more enjoyable, and far more rewarding to play.
Final Thoughts

These are my honest thoughts and the real reasons why I left the game permanently.

The server was once one of the best experiences in the Mir community, but in its current state, it has lost much of what made it enjoyable and competitive.

I sincerely hope the administration takes these concerns seriously for the sake of the remaining community.

Thank you.

Zade, why are you so concerned about this?

Are you receiving some kind of reward for being so involved in the state of the server?

Are you secretly one of the game administrators and we do not know about it?

Honestly, all of your comments and reports have been completely ineffective.

Let the administrators handle the server and manage everything themselves.

There is no need for you to interfere in matters that do not concern you.

Your position here is the same as any other player.

Please speak for yourself and focus on your own problems and opinions, rather than trying to speak on behalf of the server.
