Just thought it might be of interest to some

I've been tracking the user count every second since 8th of March, because why not

This is a graph of the peak count per hour

The red box is the recent easter event.

You can clearly see before the event most days it peaked at a little over 100 in the evening and dropped to around 50-55 at night

During the event it was around double that on average, with peaks hitting around 200-230, falling to around 100 at night

Since event it has understandably dropped, but encouragingly still hitting an average of around 90-100

If anyone wants the full raw data for other analysis or whatever I'd be happy to share, but I won't be putting that fully public because the datafile is huge

numbers lie man try to talk to others in game before they all leave, there are many unhappy with things as they are !
 
how's your graph looking now ?? i think this server needs something better than we're getting now or it is going to die and i'd prefer it didn't!

I'll try to remember to pull the data again and recreate a new graph at the weekend, been a bit busy lately. But honestly, people say this every year. The game always gets a bit quieter in the summer and people say it's dead, but it's just a reality of life that people have other things to do in the summer. It's nice outside, go get some sunshine on your skin ☺️

i work outside you fool try to look at the game and what's happening not just go on the attack people are concerned try to listen to them !

If anything is ever going to kill the game, it's responses like that. I've 'attacked' nobody. All I did was offer an explanation for an observation and provide some data, and I get called names for it. Embarrassing behaviour honestly. I'm assuming you aren't a child, please try to act like it
 
so you attack again? take it seriously people are concerned that the last patch was rubbish the helping heroes are impossible at times and the last event drove alot of players away, the numbers are very low and i am simply pointing out that something needs to be done, i've sunk alot of money into this server and wouldn't want it to go the way of p69 which is what seems to be happening
 
In the end numbers don't lie, and active players are way down. Please fix the problems we have constructively reported back, before it is too late. I for my part is not purchasing any more gg before it is, and what happening in the marketplaces are also telling.
 
There is clearly an issue here. I’ve also noticed that both player numbers and market activity have dropped considerably. Zade does make a valid point, as this tends to happen around this time of year. However, this time I feel there is much more to it.

Personally, I’ve not been playing as much lately, and I can confirm that it isn’t due to a lack of time. For me, it comes down to boredom and the increasing difficulty.

We may not receive a response from the GM for another six weeks :rolleyes:

Given what happened with the Fire Crystals at Easter, where we were left significantly out of pocket

Make yimmd great again! and put it back to how it was! make bounty back to how it was its stupid now, i bet not many do it tbh. i used to log on everyday to do my bounty and collect GPS for guild now theres no point, i think some things need to be made easier but also none of the lower bosses get killed anymore? IKU,ZT, all these type of bosses are left now.
 
Nothing will happens. Games the deadest it’s ever been. I personally blame the massive unessecary changes to the event. @Scorpian can only say I told ya so.
Too many massive changes randomly happened to the event at Easter and literally everyone quit because of it. Server was flourishing nicely between Xmas and Easter then he just full blown killed it off with the massively underwhelming Easter event. Of course a few lefties made it out to sound amazing and everything was gonna be beautiful and fine. Us usual they’re wrong. Listen to the people with money, the spenders. There’s a reason these people have surplus cash to spend on a game aswell as paying for family’s and real life. Because they’re smart.
 
loads of stuff is to hard for normal players aswell. Helping hero is just a fucking joke lol. All weekly events are stupidly overpowered and hard. Mass removal of Elysian ores from events and guild caves.
 
Ill be honest, i saw this coming early last year… an overwhelming amount of concern from players and updates nobody asked for, infact more often than not the complete opposite of what people asked for.

2-3 main guilds upped sticks and left the server, theres no way that void has since been filled contrary to a certain few peoples beliefs, the fact 1 of those guilds still own the majority of castles tells me all i need to know, the market is drier then ghandis flip flop… ive logged in a few times to check this, ill be honest the prices you guys put items up for are ridiculous, high tier items 5kgg… £300 in real money for a single item you absolute dreamers.

Ultimately its one man and one man only who is to blame for this demise, who knows perhaps he wants people to slowly leave so he can just shut the server down, 15+ years is a great run! Hes done better then most in that time and thats to be appreciated and applauded.

One thing he fails consistently to do is listen to the community, always been that way always will be that way, its andys way or no way and eventually people get fed up under a dictatorship.
 
Got to say I also agree that server numbers are down. Sales on my stalls have fallen off the cliff. Golds not really selling either. I hardly sell any torches (Mags), after the cutting it from 3 hours down to 1.5 hours. I did ask Scorp about this October 2025 and I got :-

To be fair we used to have 3 tiers of them with 1h 2h 3h durations but everyone just bought the 3h.

Main reason for the change of time was the fact they are now removeable so people are reducing their consumption by taking them off. The "low" price was set due to the fact they were single use and it was a real choice which one to use (plus once upon a time they decayed in SZ).

I think the new sets are scheduled for later next year.. it's still a bit early for them.

So by his own admission everyone was buying 3h ones previously when there was a choice, even I rarely buy them now. Why not leave them at 3 hrs, what does it cost Scorp?, nothing, but the community would have been a lot happier if you just made them swappable. Scorp may even think that because gg mag sales are down to people taking them on and off. But I wouldn't mind betting its because people just don't bother with them because you cut time in half. He only had to change it because an update he added, did not allow us to be able to use it if we were using torches.

The Easter event when he sprung the restrictions on GG rooms, for me not so much of an issue, but for those other's that had bought Arcadian items thinking they would get the ore to upgrade their kit. Big slap in the face. Also no explanation as to why or that it was planned. I would have liked to of had the previous allowances using DS GG Loyalty and ME. Everyone has a choice then.

Helping Hero I just don't bother much to be honest, stupidly went in one with full moon, I think I was revved almost immediately and reds and blues every where. The moment the range mobs are there game over. I did complete one the other day but the new one wanted 120 Myth essence, so that's not happening just have to w8 3 days now before I attempt another one. There are a handful of members that don't come on now because of what has been happening and being busy with RL things.

It just has felt over the last 12/18 months, and my own opinion only, is the fact that Scorp is having a money grab in lots of ways. Pissing off the community as it goes. Yes it's a balancing act and very hard to keep all happy, but changing some of the basics and not listening to the community, not keeping us informed!. Let us know what your working on, what the plans are. LISTEN and FIX some of what the wide spectrum of your community is telling you, SHARE.

We've had a reboot and no update on the Event boards. Are we getting any buffs for the upcoming Bank holiday?. Is The Badlands coming back in the summer?

Personally I'm not buying anymore GG at the moment, not that I bought a great deal, just cycling through what I have on Gold stall. Just feel like a mushroom!!
