So today I spent around 1500 gg on materials for 3 upgrades.
Upgrade 1- celestial helmet lvl 160. 6stars 166 helm design 162 6 stars essence (went white)
Upgrade 2- celestial boots lvl 160. 7stars 165 boot design 6 stars 162 essence (worked but low stats)
Upgrade 3- celestial ring lvl 160. 2 stars design 161 4 stars essence 167 (went white)

Still too low chance. Wasting way to much gg.

GM did say that upgrading items are going to be much harder now.

and the results you got would have been normal even if GM didnt make any changes with last reboot.

Your GG spending habits is not going to waste at all... somebody somewhere is benefiting from it lol... maybe its one person or maybe its the whole game... who knows.. who cares.. carry on...

Items coming out +9 dc mc sc. Dunno if intentional or if your losing the chance on ele res/damage is being replaced by dc mc sc. This mysterious system will have us all guessing.

What he said is that it’s now harder to get artifact items but less chance of items going white

Didnt go red? or went red then turned white? I wouldn't have attempted those upgrades personally, the level combination is too risky.
For celestial and holy crystal I always use +8 levels combined as a minimum. at +5/6 id suggest you have 50% chance of working, maybe 75% at most.

Also, the total quality needs to be within a threshold for high upgrades :) pm me in game if you want recipes

Who are you ingame?

More chance of added stats when item is unidentified - not higher success rates on crafting. If it fails it fails like before.

I am concerned that you are trying to force the upgrades too much. The reality is that for such a high level item, upgrading is difficult. This is the design of the game and the upgrade system. It prevents items become far too powerful before the game has progressed to the next stages. I highly recommend you wait until the next region is released with the higher level items - thus significantly increasing the chances of successful upgrades.

So what was the aim of the crystal temple/temple of ancients 162 item range? They’re worse than holy crystal items. They cannot be upgraded due to they’re level. Are they designed to be salvaged to upgrade the 158 nagalord items?
I would have thought that common sense is the non rare highest lvl sets “binghe,Shixue, jixing” would be used as materials to upgrade the highest rare set “celestial” otherwise what’s really the point of them. Celestial items dropped from bosses 3 caves ago and still struggling to upgrade them.

I used to try and throw money and gg at upgrades and it's not fun when they dont go your way.. I always seemed to find high star essence combined with a high star design gave worse results than a high star combined with a low star did, epic + epic is usually always a safe bet

I agree to your first point... absolutely 162 items are there to upgrade 158 items, and is easily achievable.

With Celestial being the "best" items in game, then by their nature they will be the hardest to upgrade. I have noticed a considerable difference between holy crystal (142) and 141 class items with the chance of upgrading. Being a Holy Crystal item, it seems to need another few levels grace to be successful.

I agree, with the next chapter of the game being released i assume there would be lvl 165/168 items which when found with 5/6 stars should result in 170+ crafting items. This will give a much higher % chance on Celestial.

Anyhoo.. looking at your kit, you don't seem to need much advise on recipes - but always happy to share knowledge :)

Andy... the success rate of added stats certainly has increased. I am getting Artifact on 2/3 of my upgrades. The only thing i have noticed is that the stats are splitting more rather than polarising into one element....

Ive literally upgraded all my item 20+ times each lol

cause of the amount of time and effort and possibly gg it takes to upgrade almost any item... i think the chances of the item turning to white even after a successful upgrade should be turned to 0%...

i done my fair bit of working hard to get the right designs and essences for an upgrade then seeing them fail is a right put off... i rather see bad results then seeing it fail or turn white.

Yeh it's more of a kick in the balls that it goes red then you waste a mill on a scroll

This is what i intially said if its gonna go red it needs to go atleast 2 stars + as a minimum, whats point it going red then spending another 1mil on a scroll ifs it gonna go white...

Were not saying get rid of the failed to upgrade option just simply dont have a item go red then to be identified and go white is pointless IMO

It's just the name of the game , it always has been. The problem is auction house letting players list essence and design for as much as they'd like, then of course somebody paying it and the upgrade failing this is where the bad feeling starts..

There needs to be a cap on the price people can list them for, 350gg for a design sometimes, that's £29! Best people can do is boycott these ridiculous prices but then you get a player who will buy it cheap and relist it with 100gg on top of it. The fact people buy and sell these materials for gg on Arcadia massively affects the feeling you get if it fails to be correct stats. In an essence, excuse the pun, its gambling lol and the odds are very rarely in the buyers favour
