Do these actually benefit the server?

Noob chars get to level quickly which negates the need for any effort but the people who really benefit are the people who have just been banned or suspended as they can get a reasonably workable character in a couple of hours...

People who have put the graft and more often than not the money in don't get the some loving.... Come on share the love...

You mean all the new content aimed at 160+..or ?

No the lower level player not having to graft as continuously getting cheat codes to lvl up 300%-100% etc. Part of the game is grafting or choosing to pay for exp pots rather than a big boost up, lower level items are worthless as dont last long so no market for low lvl essences and designs as no point.

If you've grafted and more than likely donated (may be wrong on that part) its a kick in the nads with low levels just jumping straight up. Why not just start players at a higher level.

Arc is like 6 years old? To a proper noob who doesn't know any of the shortcuts looking at lvl 183 players it just seems a mammoth task, anything that entices lower levels to give it a shot is ok in my view

Of course it benefits the server, it doesn't make any sense in not having catch up stuff to the new people.
If i were a new player just arriving and look at a 6-7 years server with lvl 183 people in the server and no catch up mechanics to reach that level, taking ages to get there not having much fun because im just one of few lower level players, not having much interaction with people of my level to do content for being a low level player and most of the players being high level, facing uberplayers max level and fully kited that takes what they want and do whatever they want..
Most of the games got catch up mechanics for all those reasons and more.

what love do you want ? if you are 183 ur already max level, even with catch up mechanics, they will still take ages to get to your level. What ur feeling is "i worked hard to get 183 but new players have to work less" but you forgot alot of things, the experience in playing with all other players on same level, doing content which is not outdated, that ur still max level and new players will still take a long player to get to where you are, you get new fresh blood in to the server, allowing the server to keep living ( do you want to play a empty server ? )

Imagine project server were still alive and getting updated, the server has the double of the years of arcadia, why would i ever join project server instead of arcadia if i would be so dam behind everyone ? there has to be something to pull me in to be able to speed up the process to reach the content and level of the other players.

If anything catch up mechanics should be increased every major content patch for returning and new players.

every mmo game needs this to keep its player base actually in current content, if i returned to the game now for instance it would take me 6-12 months of Constant play time to catch up to what is current content, and by then another patch would be out and im having to catch up to that too.

I quite like the way Odyssey does it. On there you get an automatic exp buff of 5% for each level between you and the highest level of your class.

For example if the highest level is 183 and you are 150, that's a 33 level difference, 33x5 = 165% exp buff

Means people don't need to remember to type a command all the time, and it just scales nicely all the time without anything needing to be updated

I like that idea however only for subscription, keeps it a good income for the peeps running as +30% isn't enough of an incentive for most, well I say most ....me =0)

Can we get @under170freeXP please? I’ve reached 161 now need hit 171!!!!

Do some leveling, you have had I easy to get to 161, all that resting exp, you can hunt most places at that level so time to put the graft in like the majority of players have, your sugar and silver spoon has gone now !!

It wasn’t that easy mate..I had to go zt f7 most of the time with a group and use exp pot on top I was getting like 20% per hour from 155-161… so it wasn’t that easy I look forward to @under170freexp it will make things much more easier thanks.

As someone who has moved to this server in the last week, yes, it very much helps the server. Servers can only survive with new players to replace the eventual churn of people getting bored. The average level on this server is way above 100 and that alone puts many new players off, I knew it put me off as there is only so much grind a person can take.

Your complaint is pretty short-sighted. I mean, would you prefer the server not attract new players then go out of business when the old ones churn out like so many mir servers in the past?

Not at all, when I started the under120 was present, then 14, then 160... how far do you go? I completely agree that a 120 and possibly a 140 are required but anything othe defeats the object of the game. With active guilds levelling is pretty easy going as long as the higher levels are active and help newer members, PvE guild were excellent at this and regularly hunted within guild and with new guilds such as Border which helped people get to know each other.

ye, you are missing the point bro. It's not about what you prefer, or my start; its about mir servers paying their bills and attracting new players to replace old ones who drop off is essential.

You know, for example, if this is your tipping point and mades you wanna stop playing it has attracted me, someone on a new journey into the game as a customer. This is what it is about, server longevity.

I think it's actually faster to level up solo in GP caves.
Especially if you can clear fast. There's many cheap equipments now adays, fully runed ones.

Buy those and you should be able to solo easily to 160
