Saw the poll on Facebook and it seems pretty clear where the community lies on these.

As they are, they are pretty good for people who have top spec kit. But for the majority, it's clearly too hard, and it seems the community generally doesn't like them.

It's a shame, because it seems like a really well thought out idea, it's just been tuned to suit the few at the top rather than the masses.

I've been brainstorming this and want to propose a suggestion that might work for both sides of the camp. I've discussed this with a few people and the response has generally been favourable, I may have even mentioned it on the forum before but can't find it so I might have dreamt it :D

Give the player a very very easy quest the first time, with rewards to match. If they succeed, then the next one will be an increment more challenging, and the drops/rewards will improve at the same rate. Keep doing that, so every time you complete one, the next one gets a bit harder and a bit more rewarding.

If you skip one, or fail one, or don't attempt it for some (3? 5? something like that) days, then you go back to the easiest one again and have to build up your streak again to get to the good stuff!

The map settings could be tweaked to go with the streak level too, so the first couple be no player drops, but you lose that protection when you get to the harder ones, godda have a bit of risk to keep it exciting

again, would admin be prepared to spend the time to code?

OF course at some point it would become impossible if you kept succeding so would you have to lay off proposed 3 or 5 days to reset it back, otherwise no more heros for you....

To prevent having to wait, I proposed it resets if you fail one too, so it automatically will settle to suit your ability
 
I personally really like these quests, nice and challenging for me (I’m not even in top 40) but can the the point of the masses. It almost needs to be incremented every 2 levels rather than the (I’m guessing) larger buckets they are now. The gap between 200 and 208 is actually huge
 
I can confidently say that this is a good idea.. but it already works like that :p

The posts on FB were interesting and clearly the uptake is low. I am surprised at how challenging people are finding them but I also get that my insider knowledge is basically cheating which is why the feedback is valuable

There will be some tweaking again soon (y)
 
Some of the combos of mobs can be the undoing some times ( making it way too hard), levels may look ok but lots of mobs that hit from 2 spaces for example or the ratio of certain mobs
