So I don’t mean to bring and more negativity to your life scorp but...

This catch up to the big dogs isn’t true in any way. When I started it took me a few days to get back up to 100 after my 135 wiz disappeared.

In order for any new players to get even somewhat inline is to increase to 115-120 and have lower level books drop at a higher rate. No one should feel like they have to donate until 130+ for books imo. I hunt bosses non stop on my 129 war and still am missing several books and basically every decent spell for tao pre 120. Items can be gained easily but the thing holding most newer players back is the feeling that your caught up to level.

Just my opinion so take it how you will.

You make a partially valid point, I think, but I'm not sure I follow specifically what your complaint is

Are you suggesting exp is too slow after 100? If so, then maybe there's different places or methods you could employ that would help.

I'd books are the problem, remember not all books are essential, which ones are you missing? It's likely there's only one or two important ones you're missing that you could consider just buying. There's no need to donate, there's plenty market for selling gold bars for game gold that will help you get books too

You don’t have to donate to play good. In MIR items can be exchanged for gg which are available to everyone. In regards the books wasn’t easy for me to get Certain war spells but made the game interesting. Good luck anyway just my opinion

.... 1 prob with all this atm the gg is lacking people are not buying gold bars as the game shop is down atm so how can gold bars sell unless all the gg hogs start buying gold but u will find out they have loads of gold allready lol .... so far as books go they are a really rare drop i hunted on a war for a week on the run no stoping apart from sleep and olny got the noob books that everyone has and sells to traders but all the rare little books that people need dont drop as much as they should i think all the rare lvl 110 to 140 books should drop at lest once a week but hey it dont work this way it has set to be fair as in luck ....... but the luck should be more as in if u are a wizzy u should have more of % to drop a wizzy book more then a tao or war ...... heyhoo

Stop trying to go to game shop via the website, just do it ingame like you're meant to and you'll see that it's working fine and has been for a while lol. Haven't you noticed that everyone was complaining about it daily then suddenly the complaints stopped a little more than a week ago?

I think the point the opening post was trying to make is that level 100 is pretty insignificant with current level average been higher.

I tend to agree! I think bump the exp boost to 115 at that’s when the fun begins with most classes. The issue is people will moan that that don’t have the skill books and don’t want to donate for them. Like zade said in this case we should ignore the moaning as there are plenty of ways to get them without donating.

All Mir is the same these days, Pay for the quick fix or put a bit of hard work in

Yeah, my point can be taken a lot of different ways and I'm happy for anyone to interpret my words however they want.

I feel a point I've made a few times that I maybe didn't convey well here is my thoughts that the "mini grind" from 100 to about 130 where the game really opens up is a bit of a tester for player commitment. It's actually really easy to get to that stage in a month or two without any real serious commitment, just a bit of core grinding and exploring, and certainly no donations required. If a player finds it fun to do that and really engages with it, then they are likely to continue and remain a loyal player for years to come and will catch up with the big leagues eventually. If a player finds it boring getting from 100 to 130 and thinks things take too long, then to me that's a strong indicator that there's almost no chance they will be willing to put the massively increased grinding that's required to compete at the top level, and are unlikely to continue to play long term. So there's not really much benefit in lifting those players as they won't be around long anyway.

I actually created a new character a few weeks ago just to test how it really is for new players (wizard) and with zero external input (didn't supply it any gold/items/books or anything) I just cracked on and reached level 103 pretty easily, in fact the last level (102) took barely more than an hour and I'm not short on cash, I'm pretty confident I could continue at that rate and will be able to afford inferno (by selling 3 or 4 gold bars) by the time I am level 116 then start using jungle 4F. It's really pretty easy at these levels if you're willing to put a bit of time and effort in. On my main I currently make between 0.16% and 0.18% for clearing all 4 bile totem rooms and I'm not even in the top 10, so if you think a couple of hours for a level is slow, you need to get the idea of catching up to the top players out of your head and just enjoy the game for what it is.

Note, Alsiral, most of this reply was a general observation not specifically aimed at you, I just quoted you because you replied to me :)

My wiz is 107 now and I find it a bit of a struggle. People have said once I get to 116 and get inferno my life will change. but 103 to 107 has taken a while. I do not have 2nd char bonus and as im new I don't have a lot of resting exp either. as soon as it starts to build I kill mobs and its gone so the exp in certain places is not very good. I spend a lot of time now in SWT im sure if my resting exp was a bit higher then it would make life easier.

SWT will get a lot easier for you now at 107+ because until now the mobs there are hard to Turn Undead, it'll often take multiple failures before you get a kill. Now you're a few levels higher than most of the Woomas you'll find you can TU most of them on 1st or 2nd attempt, so you'll find the exp getting faster.

If you prefer to only do exp hunting while you have resting exp, maybe fill the time in between with a few bosses. Treebeard, Tyrant and EmperorSerpent (is that the right name? I actually can't remember... the one in 2nd floor after tongs tomb) will be good for your level, maybe if you're feeling extra brave give Swordmaster, KingLeoric, SuperMutantHybrid, or Medusa a go. They can (rarely) drop good books and items.
