Hi, I can't seem to use the portal to reach SWT on my alt. It's no problem on my main char. The only reason I can think of is the heroes quest. Is that why? I really want to go as it's great easy exp for my mage :)
 
You need to activate the portal first, I think it's something simple like reach KR or maybe you have to kill the boss
Something like that
 
I had this issue. I believe its unlocked once the Hero quest is done.

I mean, just use RT or walk there, even walking (not running) it is only like 2 minutes away from the town.
 
Please post an update when you manage to activate it, this question has come up a few times and I'm interested to know the correct answer :)
 
If I remember rightly, it's linked to the Heroes quest completion flag. Completing the heroes quest allows direct access, same for Mutant Mines(?).

I can confirm this, once heroes has been completed portal opens. However you can RT and get in that way.

I'm pretty busy this weekend, but if you've not done it by Monday I'll log on 2 store chars and put them in the quest area which will mean you can get started and do it yourself
