(Plague) possibly other spells

does anybody else notice spells missing valid targets with nothing in the way? I mean sometimes yes I may be locked into a mob and a rock or tree gets in the way but I’m noticing that many many times a day my spells are missing they’re targets even thought I am locked into them and there’s nothing in the way. Anyone else experiencing this?

There has been some screwy lag for a while now.

But yes I've noticed this as well.

I've also noticed that my fps tanks from 72/73 to 29/30 and stays there until I restart game.

Its been like that for ages , some maps are worse than others , I mean a small clump of boulders on the floor and the mob moves left of themm and you cant plauge etc etc , Halloween GG map was full of "Tile Errors " where tiles overlayed meant spell cast hit that Tile and stopped .......

So I don’t think this is broken tiles. I’m stood directly next to a mob. Locked on. Cursor miles away from anything. Il hit the mob with plague a few times then it just randomly misses for no reason. I haven’t moved, mob hasn’t moved, we’re directly next to each other with nothing in between and neither of us moved but still misses. If I use amulet spell it never misses at all. I’m pretty sure plague is broken and not landing properly

its been an issue since ive had the spell. I also see other people who play from the UK do the same thing, and i agree, its not random things on the floor. one out of 10 shots just randomly misses.

I've also had curse yeet itself off the fking screen before with the amulet flying animation but people in discord say theyve seen it go off.

im almost certain tick rate has something to do with it hitting or not. its never 100%.

but also i have a 400+ ping so that may also be a factor.

That is not really an acceptable fix if that is the case. Making a spell randomly miss when you could have used a spell that is garunteed to strike is not a suitable way to balance a spell I’m afraid. Pretty sure 99% of people will agree across any gaming community.

Its just like COP that every now and again it will miss one. should still be fixed even though these are "strong skills"

I would disagree this is intentional and in the name of balance.

Skills have been buggy since level 4 skills.

Every so often I throw a curse and it never goes off. I mentioned this in discord and people I play with see the animation go off while I do not. They see the curse effect while I just see the amulet fly off the screen.

The same thing happens with plague and other spells. Another instance is UE. Cursor over no mob and no pets yet random people in my group get the buff and some don't. Have to UE multiple times.

Another instance is heal. I will heal my skelly and shinsu and they have zero heal ticks going off. Gain no health. This has been happening since heal level 4 and if pets are over 100k hp. They also have zero natural regen out of combat. If I cast a level 6 skelly he'll be at 70k/86k and heal up to 86k naturally on its own. I cast with higher sc at 90k/106k and he doesn't heal at all and I have to attempt to heal and fail 50% of the time. No natural regen. Hell stay at 90k.

My complaint with plague is, lately, targeting is bugged horrendously. I can be standing directly next to a mob that's beating on me with my cursor on it, and plague miss continuously until I move and try again. This started with level 4 plague.

I'm sure there's more but I can't be asked to test them all.

Only level 4 skill I'm missing on my tao is revive.

When you get hit at exactly the moment you cast a spell it makes you flinch and the spell cooldown activates but the spell doesn't cast. That's what is likely happening with the likes of CoP, but with plague missing, I've never noticed that, so seems inconsistent and is only affecting some players, so possibly a client issue

It's not just plague doing it.

Thunderbolt also does it consistently.

Locked on boss thunderbolting, one will randomly just hit wherever your cursor is, in an empty space.

Dragon break does it, ice blast, etc...

I think in the case of plague it will be due to the targets Poison Resistance stat. As with Acc/Agil if the stat procs then the attack misses. There is a similar legacy "Anti Magic" stat that still functions on some skill attacks and is default at around 5% on monsters.
