Is there any direction that could be given as to where the server is heading?

The new content incoming, RDD/BDP/Tourney etc are always appreciated but with the current user count is forcing a number of current players into a corner. Last year was great, a lot of us paid to sit at home allowing a large amount of time to be spent on here but with Lockdown now over, work commitments and family time taking time of our day a lot of people do not have the same amount of time to give to playing Mir.

Whereas previous hunts could be accomplished in an hour or two, to complete a run now requires two to three and a much larger group of people to work together when the user count simply does not have that many people to work together. Previously guilds could have a group of PVP players and a group of PVE players where people could contently do their own thing and cross over if needed, now the user count simply does not allow it.

I enjoy playing the server, there are some good peeps online but it is getting harder to warrant considering spending on gg which again is required with less people buying items as with fewer players AH is almost getting redundant.

It would be great to see some content for smaller groups to tackle if at all feasible, even better if there was somewhere safe for PVE players although I appreciate PVP has always been part of the game.
 
I dont understand where do you people see the server is "dieing".
I've joined this server almost since the beginning and i can say the user count of 70-80 is pretty good and the server right now is healthy, i don't know when did you join the server, (probably Jun 2020 according to the "join date") but the number of 70-80 is really good, there was a time for more than a year the server count had 40-60 and there was no AH, meaning there was alot of 2nd characters doing stalls in BW, which means, half of the pop was stalls.
Right now you see like 8-9 stalls total with a pop of 85 at peak point hour.

Last year you saw alot more people playing the game because of the covid making us get in to lockdown.

The server have 7 years and people will keep coming and going all the time.
I keep making big breaks on the server alot of times as an example, and now im back since a week ago, from a 2-3 years break.

If you go to LOMNC you will see arcadia is always on top of the list and the server has 7 years.
Scorpian is a really good GM (hes only problem is the lack of comunicating with us)

Expect in the end of August for the numbers to decrease alot, because new world MMO will come out and i will be one of the players to go playing the game and make a break of mir again, but i will come back again, like most people will always do.
 
Wait until you try to new BDP xD its much harder than new RDD and only gives you 3 hours to complete.

However, the road to the first blue dragon is much shorter than before, i think 3 x 170ish players with good gear can clear the first dragon no problem and it can drop celestial items. You have to becareful tho, you can still die easily if not careful.
The floors after the first dragon can be very good exp for 160-175 players, but are abit dangerous aswell, if you pull too many mini bosses.
Same goes for the first 1-2 dragons in the new RDD.

The problem is demon souls ofc. But for me the bounty quest gives 42 souls everyday, and from hunting with my tao buddy i was able to get 80 souls in 1 hour in Past Bichon.

Unfortunatly the exp in the begining for BDP and RDD are not great if you are 160+, otherwise i would go there with 1-2 buddies every time i have soul, just to kill the first dragon.

This is always the quietest time of year for the server, it'll pick up naturally in a couple of months

Guess the trouble I see is new content is geared towards bigger groups of higher players with nothing to replace the smaller group caves without spending a lot of demon soul.

All the original content is still ingame for new starters and players upto 180 as it wass before the new rdd.

I think you all miss the point of Dals post ,
With the recent changes to RDD and BDD the fun element of a small group of players popping on for a few hours and doing a small hunt while wars etc going on in a pve enviroment has vansihed.
The server count of active players is not as important as to what the players can do are doing etc while on the server , you can have a server count of 1000s but if they all sat in the safe zone bored stiff then it makes no sense.

Orcs GP - no real goal just exp a few drops now and again , nothing special , boss pk fest or luck on spawn.
PB - exp heaven for 160 - 165 past that boring as hell and very poor drops
Orcs City same as Orcs GP - this most dissapointing cave on the server , it could have been much much more ....
SZT - exp ok some ok drops but a pain for small groups unless right combo of classes , again no real goal as bosses are pk fest .

There is a huge lack of pve safe content for the causual player to enjoy in small groups of various lvls say from 140 upwards.

examples of what could be done ...

Take the Mystery Cave map - make it a soul payable enter cave - 50 - 80 souls each corner 1 sub boss kill all 4 spawn random boss strength on spawn unknown difficulty could be easy or could be a bitch .....
set completion time for 2hrs mobs from 150 - 175 max group 5 players

Stone temple map-
Ancient Mutant Boars - 7 floors like old mir increasing in mob lvls as you decsend - maze and end boss time limited to complete token required to enter like Orcs GP , PVE only map max group 10 players

Ok i know the above examples sound like setup found in other games e.g WOW but there is a reason it works ..... it allows players with limited time each day to achieve something with a smaller group without planning etc ....

Balance is always hard to find , but how can you find a balance when removing or changing things without proper comunication or insight to how people spend there time whilst ingame.......
 
The direction is the same as it has always been, since 2013 we have revamped, updated, upgraded and added content. It just so happens that we have recently updated RDD and BDP, which has been discussed on the forum for a few years now. "Arena" was removed for update years ago too.


I don't really understand the point about hunts taking longer now - the original content (for the most part) still exists for RDD / BDP. It is still there for you to tackle should you wish. These were always meant to be group player hunts but got too easy due to player skill, and fruits too low, deflecting from the rest of the game content.

I agree with the lack of content for casual players. I'm logging on probably once every fortnight or something and that's generally for a war.

There's no other reason to log on. No point in levelling once u get to heroes league. Nowhere worth soloing as a Tao. Nothing I really need kit wise. Drops u do get hardly selling.

New RDD was fun but the first half is boring and a waste of time. Feel there should be a noob version and a shorter version for high levels.

Not tried BDP yet because even using WhatsApp there's not enough people available at the same time to make it worthwhile. Good ideas but not for the current active user count.

Thanks for all the effort and time you put into the game Scorpio. Must be frustrating for you after all your hard work for some of us to just moan.

Hopefully this new arena will shut us up and make us happy. Pve, small group, difficult but only takes 2-3hours

Maybe some new items in game? Only thing people want is rejuv armour...

Pb is what its always been. Decent upto 170 ish and boss can drop decent. Drops from mobs are not frequesnt but thats how mir has always been.
Orcs city is plentiful for drops and mob count is decent so you can clock up decent exp.
SZT main hunting ground for the higher levels wanting level 170+ items. Drops seem plentiful again in ah considering the amount that hunt there.

Yes some unused caves could be changed as your pointing out but they probably have quests attached to them so would be easier to add new caves which is what Scorpion is doing.

This probably the longest lasting server currently. I'm sure scorp listens to suggestions and takes some points on board as it is in his interest to keep the majority happy.

Have to disagree on Orc City , yes can be fruitful if moon is up , Did 1% in there solo last week 1 red item in 2 and half hours and boring as hell , as a tao the red and blue orcs slaughter tinkebell every damn time ,
SZT hard to solo as a tao , we all dont have 17k rejuv armour hehe
PB is freaking PB waste of space unless like you say get a boss , over 170 mindless mob killing for litlle or no reward.
Orcs GP well it is what it is same problem solo tao with tinkerbell being slain to easy , no idea why range mobs in there pick on her .... its ok for exp i guess , a small group fun maybe once a week else not really brain engaging .... repeatative after awhile

like I say some people dont play 24/7 or have stint weeks to roam around etc , I used to be able to juggle time and put a lot of effort into my char game and guild , now seems what time i do have to play consists of refining ,the odd sin or bile and maybe yims on a saturday ,
Really miss the old RDD , was worth the 100 souls a few times a week to chill out and have fun with m8s and lower levels to get them a few upgrades.

Yeaaaaaa so we’re still hunting for the same old dog shit items we’ve been hunting for six months. Now we just have to work harder and longer for it. It’s soooo close to being dead now. I mean I cba to even hunt souls myself. Basically quit. Told ya we wanted new super rare super expensive kits and they gave us the same old dog shit. The simple fact non donators can easily get and build the same kit as someone who donates thousands is demoralising to me and completely pointless for me to play anymore. Rdd and ice temple is nice but you fucked up with kits again.

There you go with that word "easily" again. Try playing for 3 months without donating anything and you'll realise how much harder it actually is, it's a completely different game. You complain that everything is too easy, then as soon as anything hard comes out you just buy your way into kit that can beat it immediately while everyone else has to grind for months to get anywhere near it.

Hard? I’ve soloed blue dragon already and 2 manned all the red dragons.
It’s not hard.
It’s too easy for people to make too end kit.
Nothing super rare anymore.

Of course it's easy for you because you have all the best possible kit.

Read the forums, 90% of players will never have a chance at being able to do that.

As I said, try doing it without buying gg and you'll realise how hard it actually is for normal people.

If some super rare fancy new kit comes out you'll buy the first one that drops for an amount nobody else can hope to match, then within a month will be moaning that there's nothing to aim for any more.

The game needs to cater to the majority, and people in your situation are absolutely not in the majority

Where’s the super rare stuff? Rejuv arm still best arm ingame it’s lvl 155 and drops from 3 year old content. Nothing released in the past 18 months comes remotely close to rejuv arm and nothing released recently even drops it.

And no that’s not the case. I can’t buy a rejuv arm. Never been able to buy one. I’ve offered 15000gg and nobody will sell one. They don’t even drop from high lvl content that I kill.
Cele kit was ingame and people had full Cele kits when I started playing almost three years ago.
Where’s the new upgraded multi class items everyone been asking for for years?

Well they’re the same items as we had before but they have a little bit of resistance and they can’t be pked. We wanted multi class super rare kits better that celestial. Like Crystal >>>holy crystal.

Maybe I’m jumping the gun and ancient dragon can drop kits better than celestial. But there’s been no info announcing this.
I don’t want to spend 6months farming somthing to be told the drops we thought might exist don’t exist.

All you have to say is yes there are other items in the drop files that will find extremely attractive and better than rejuv/celestial. Because zuma items don’t compare to celestial or reju.

Also it looks as tho holy crystal/celestial don’t drop with the unique bonus? Am I correct in thinking that? I mean a celestial item of red dragon would be nice but I haven’t seen any rare items have the added rdd bonuses

The caves are sick tho I love the caves.

No there's nothing under the "rare item" marker that has been released recently. I probably sound like a broken record by now but this was why the mythic stuff was added. I don't know if you were around at the time but we had endless remarks about "everyone is in the same kit" type thing with Holy Crystal. By this point we had already added Celestial but the issue was simply that the players didn't like having "1 ring to rule them all" type thing.

Please help me understand explicitly why you are not interested in eg Mythic ShadowZuma set vs Celestial?

Ancient items are still not released but are of course of pressing concern..

It is important that we build up a lot of supporting / group content like these RDD before we move onto the next push on level cap so that there's plenty to do as players start to out-level more content
