Noob question | The Legend of Mir

Hi, noob question if I may.

I just started playing last night and I've looked at some of the pinned guides etc and they don't seem to correspond to what I'm seeing in the game. I'm trying to follow quests and I seem to be in a large underground cave network, the guides suggest going to places like wooma temple, Zuma temple and such but I've just been going ever deeper through a cave network. Am I in the wrong place? Should I use the Stone to teleport out of here? Or are the guides no longer in date?

I'm also finding some monsters in the caves which the quests tell me to kill and I find I'm having to go further through the caves to level up a lot more and then backtrack to be able to kill them. (Like the gold and red oma skeletons) is this normal?

Having fun dungeon crawling but I do feel a little lost right now if anyone could briefly let me know where exactly I am (newbie zone I've assumed) and if I ever get out of this cave, or is this cave the way it is now?

The guides generally refer to the regular game.

Right now there is a temporary event on called "Skull Island" where all new characters will spawn for the duration of the event, it will only be a couple of weeks. In this cave that you're in, the experience and drops are far higher than you'd normally get in the open world, so make the most of it and enjoy!

Once the event finishes, you'll be sent to the normal world where the guides will make more sense

For skull island just work your way through the quests exp is decent as long as you stay in the caves relevant to your lvl when you get to bosses you can't solo just shout (! Command) and people will generally group and help you kill
