Noob question regarding drops.

The point I'm trying to make with the orc weapons is, their upgrades drop regularly in orc gp and orc city. So people of those levels to upgrade them can hunt them without having to hunt in a 185+ cave.

Evil mir weapon upgrades simply don't drop in past bichon and thunder pass. The caves that lead to evil mir. And apparently this isn't a new thing.

Searching the forum shows multiple threads about poor drops of fire and dark gem chips in these places. And the solution was to make them not tradable and not decay?

I'm sorry but years to upgrade items is ridiculous imo as you will have most certainly leveled far beyond the weapon you are upgrading.

Add mickwit to the list of people grinding these things and getting fk all to drop.

He just messages me in game. 3 months of grinding for 2 medium stones...

Be nice if the chips were tradable, i've decided against upgrading my evilmirwand. Takes too long and by the time it takes me to upgrade it, id probably have a better weapon to wear lol.

Orc wep fresh is like lvl 174 maybe bit lower that’s why it’s dropping in then lvl caves when this come out orc was the highest cave so they could be no where else to make them drop.

They also drop in planes which as you know Is for lvl 185 or if you wanted to do the Zuma quest you can go szt 7th or planes 3f will say I have had much more luck in planes for chips etc then any other cave not to be funny or anything tho I never heard anyone complain about this only you and tht being said there’s so many more places to obtain these now to what there use to be as have been stated. I rly don’t see the problem with it tbh grinding it mostly what’s part of the fun of doing these quest. And you could yh make them drop alot more but then what does that come to all high players have to grind to get where they are but all new players are basically given it ? .

Again, you are blasting someone for suggesting a change to help the lower level catch up with the current content. No one is asking for stuff for free. he is basically bringing up a good point. people dont mind the grind, but if you're grinding to upgrade kit, you surpass once you get the upgrade material what's the point? you might as well mindlessly grind levels till the soft cap then start working on kit.

Every level of weapon passed 160 has upgrade quests.

I’m simply questioning why the one above evil mir set, orc horn, is easier to accomplish then evil mir set itself. More to that point, why are there drops for a 168-172 upgrade weapon dropping in a 185+ cave?

Having those items drop in a cave meant for 185+ people does absolutely NOTHING to help the people that are actually trying to use and upgrade their LEVEL APPROPRIATE KIT.

Either way I’m over it. Even in the 185 cave I can’t get the fkers to drop. I’ll be 195 before I can finish upgrading a 175 weapon. There’s no point in it.

This was my carrot/stick to keep driving along while helping my low level guildies find stuff they need but if I have no reason to plug on due to poor drops, then so be it. It is what it is.

Time for me to find something more worthwhile to do with my time.

Simple difference back in the day was the chips were tradable. Drop rate was much higher and whilst they expired … was much easier to build up as a group / guild.

Now they aren’t tradable but perm, drop rate has been lowered to a level that’s too low.

Similar to you, I get one chip every 2-3 hunts of clearing PB blood lands and TP.

Is it a bit silly really as I’ll be able to fully upgrade my orc weapon before my mir weapon.

I gave up on evil mir weapons. Don't play my wiz any more. Upgrading my weapons was my reason to keep playing my wiz and I get no chip drops outside of the quest. I can't stay logged in on my wiz to get the quest hourly and play my tao and help new players and my guilds at the same.

I choose to play my tao and help what noobs I can to try to keep up server population.

I have some people that help me and to those people I can't possibly thank you enough , and then I have those that actively work against me by pking noobs off the server, and to those all I can say is touch grass once in a while.

I'll eventually burn out and hopefully someone steps up and fills the void or this server is fking doomed.
