Is there any way to check monster kill levels? I'm currently working on extinction (I know not worth it but I'm still doing it)

In the old GS area it would show on achievements but is there anyway to check now?

Not current kills, I mean overall kills ie how many I've killed in ice temple f1, there used to be game score achievements but they have now been replaced with just boss kills.
 
Unfortunately not while on the move. The quest npc is the only place to see it. Go to the quest itself and it'll tell you your progress towards competing it

Yeah that's what I've been doing, just annoying when you think you've got 2000 and it's only 1999 then have to travel back.

@Scorpian maybe this is something that could be brought in for kill quotas?
 
To be fair for kill quotas it's only 30 mobs, and the quest tells you immediately when it's done so you don't need to count or check really
