in trying to do Hero Quest Extinction/slayer of more beasts (kill 2k/3k)
when i press M map says 600+ mobs on this map
so kill lots for 30/40 min
press M again says 400+ mobs
so in my mind iv killed 200+


go back to town check progress ... only moved about 50/60 mobs (wtf)

this happens lot in more then one map realy annoying

is this a bug not sure if i need to report it
 
Depends which quest line but some are specific.

And obvious when you’ve been killing there’s been a respawn. So that’s why the numbers are different.

As Zade has said pay very close attention to what mobs and as important where. EG conected path and Connected Paths, slight difference but it will only count from the correct mobs in the correct map.

holy temp ..tong ..floor 1-8 ice tem...ST ... zuma ... etc etc
it seems all of them are doing this
EG went to ice temp floor 1 press M -says 400+ mobs ...went round spent like 40- 50 min just walking to lure mobs
after press M again mob count was 100 ...
but went back to town an iv only killed 10-20
tong tomb seems to be the one that sticks in my mind as i needed the bones for another qust ..so spent a few hours (i was low lvl) but my kill count for tong is less then 300 ..and i know iv been in that cave more then once


i know this is a Gring qust .... BUT !!

I was aware of the tongs one. It used to be called 'tongs tomb', a few years ago it was renamed 'serpent tomb' and serpents were added into the spawns, but they don't count towards kills, seems it was never added into the quest when the cave was updated.

The ice temple one I was unaware of, might be a similar thing. I'll need to have a look when I'm home
