Is there a way to increase the resolution to a playable state?

I just stood in exact the same coords as MageTea; 329:261. I see exact the same amount of the game as he does, and I play using Windowed Mode.

Can you remember p69 it was like playing with binoculars on

Yeah, you can either play

• in window mode, which is fine on a small or low res monitor, but is absolutely tiny on a big monitor
• in full screen at correct aspect ratio (4:3) which won't take up the full width of a wider screen, hence the "black borders"
• in full screen with stretched aspect ratio, fills the screen but everything is wider than designed and looks weird

No matter which you use, you see exactly the same amount of the screen/map, nobody can gain any advantage by choosing a different view mode
