Good day GMs

If this comes across as a rant I apologise, but i need answers ASAP.

Today I had 2 rings (hero clear with 2 sockets and a wisdom Dione ring) stolen from me after getting pked in cold blood while solo in TOD.

I wrote a post not long ago suggesting there needs to be accountability for players who do this, powertotheman had no reason for doing it and he gets away Scott free with two rings, no punishment.

Meanwhile I see your giving yet another known grief user Wimmy his armour back after his situation.

I get my items are not celestial etc etc. This is more about what I deem to be fair in the game. I know PVP is a part of the game but this isent right, and I could be tempted to stop this sever.

* When a 153 tao gets killed by a 173 warrior. I felt a sense of powerlessness to sort the problem myself which is quite frustrating, now I’m here seeking help

* If you belong to a rival guild and there is an unwritten rule where you are free to pk each other and steal kit- fair enough. But the guild I’m in for example holds no association to immortals through wars etc and many lower level players also get killed and kit stolen? And they can’t do anything either

Can you see the problem here?

Sorry you lost some items but I think it's sadly part of the game.
Always going to be opportunists who will pk lower levels for their own benefit. Just need to be aware of your surroundings (even when buying pots/salvaging) and always have a RT/TT at the ready
 
Never understand pking a player many lvs below you myself. Trash behaviour. No skill. No class. Your solution, and server owner has done a lot of work on this, is game point caves.
 
Not fun losing stuff when someone is alot higher than you, but its always been a thing in Mir from the beginning. There was a guy on euro mir who was like level 40+ who pked me level 18 tao lol no clue why. I agree with the others, just have to be ready to quick escape if you need to and don't trust anyone no matter what lvl they are if you dont know them
 
Legend of Mir is renowned for PKing . It’s a big part of the game it’s the reason many play, if you tend to be in a guild other than Doom/IMMS/dragons / Horde then 90% of them will leave you alone . But no guarantee .just keep a TT in ur belt .

There are only a handfull of ppl on server that pks lower lvls and ppl in peacefull pve guilds. All of the play in Immortals.
 
There were members of dragons guilty of this when I started. Mongols aswell.

Totally agree. Now all those scum Members are in immortals so yes KingKong is right and so are you :)

pk is part of game mate and it’s what makes it fun and keeps a lot of players active. If this was taken away believe me this game wouldn’t be Legendary any more.

When Hell was first introduced it was quite difficult, but the game has gone beyond it (I have literally no evidence if hell has been updated coz I haven't played in months). But assuming that hell hasn't been updated, maybe its time it did get updated so that pk points were more of an punishment than a minor inconvenience. Mobs harder, run from hell through a few long maps to escape? I don't know really just something where if someone wants to kill a noob for no reason they will pay a hefty price
Grief players on low level characters will abuse this though.

So after this post I'm still no closer to helping find the middle ground. Carry a TT and RT in your belt mate and after a while you will naturally hit that RT or TT button when you sense danger.

Maybe a total overhaul of how pk points work is the answer.

What about making pk points drop based. So if you pk someone and they drop an item, you get 1 pk point for each level of the item, double for 'special' items (grand/crystal/holycrystal/celestial) and a flat 100 for gg shop items such as recall and tele. So for example if you pk someone and they drop tele and a lvl 165 cele belt, that's 430 pk points (165x2 +100). So you go to hell and must kill 230 mobs there to get down to 200 which is the point you go from red to yellow. Make it almost impossible to go afk there so you can't just wait it out. And the mobs are tailored to your level so it will be an actual challenge.

The advantage of this is that griefers on noob chars 'making people red' will just drop a bunch of shit and you won't get many pk points.

Obviously the idea would need a lot of development, tweaking and testing to weed out any other considerations, as with any idea there will obviously be holes that griefers will find and use, but it gets us at least to a more reasonable and realistic punishment
 
Yh I remember spending quite a lot of time on euro sat in that little town in mongchon , remember used to have AOL and used to disconnect every 45 mins, there was no way to pay of the PK points so you had to sit it out . Was a real ball ache 🤣

Haha that retard tried to PK me in jungle yesterday but he couldnt even manage a lvl 146 LOL lucky his gear is such absolute doodoo

He will try against anyone for no reason except he “likes pk”. Normal tactic is to recall a group of about 5 with him. Tbh just wait till you see him hunting solo and 2 hit him, kit is all DC and he is a glass cannon, you will get a barrage of pm’s and excuses of why you “managed to pk him” but if you go make a coffee and just him gas he won’t even work out your not listening.

Thanks for this post. As someone who is often subject to being attacked by other players I can relate to your predicament.

Because of my geographic location my ping to the server is over 220ms and I have constant 2 step lag. I do feel that certain players target me because of this so anytime when I am playing solo I will simply TT when they appear on my radar and simply do not engage with them - a revival ring is also essential for me when playing solo.

A simple solution would be to limit PK players to only be able murder players higher level than themselves and players that are 10 levels lower than them ... ie a 170 level player could murder anyone 160+ and no one 159 or less. Maybe void the rule if they are in group.

Another variation along the same lines could be that PK players could murder anyone as it is now but limit victim drops as per above - ie a 170 level player would get drops of a victim 160+ and no drops off victims 159 or less. Again maybe void the rule if they are in group.

Obviously in war no protection is applied.

Could certainly consider more points for level differences and restricting player drops at even greater levels. You can't forget though that this starts to encourage grief where some people log on low level players and start getting in the way on purpose.
 
Its great to see some input from some of the well known players in the game and yourself Scorpian.

And I found this situation showed me just how great some of the users are on this server, Special thanks to Hiren/Patel in particular for his generosity towards me.

Going forward to help prevent other players having a similar experience, I really echo Numinous thoughts, I feel there is lots of potential for some kind of system to be in place which doesn't completely deter the players who like to PK as i agree people play this server for different reasons and find enjoyment in different ways.

I would love a clone spell that creates a carbon copy (or multiple) of my char to confuse PK players as to which is the real one

From another thread but relevant to this one I think. This could be fun - kill a clone, go red etc

You stopped door/bridge blocking griefers. Sure you can think something haha. Making people being red/yellow more of a punishment wouldn’t be so bad. Spose my suggestion which won’t go down to well is if your red, your rev no longer works haha. And proper red also like euro, spend hours afk in a cave with super hard mobs to stop you going afk. Most pvp is in groups so sharing kills like euro would be fun
