Hello!

I'm an old Mir player, I had a level 47 character back in 2004 (obviously on the original servers)
I recently woke up dreaming of iconic deer death sounds, and had to see if a server still existed which led me to Arcadia.

I've been playing for 2 days, and I'm now already level 67! and i'm feeling a bit lost.

So is there any guides for an old player to get to grips with the decades of updates and changes?
any item lists guides?
where is good for looting?

any advice is welcome!

Kit matters more than levels, levels are just a way to wear higher stuff. You'll level almost automatically without trying until about 130. Just try keep replacing your kit with fresh stuff for your level as you go, you'll find plenty as you go along.

Pick up foods and trash from the floor and sell to npc for some gold, use that to buy anything you need that you haven't found

From 130+ it's worth keeping an eye out for stuff with added stats, at that point you'll start learning what stats do what. Don't stress yourself out trying to learn too much before then, it'll be information overload

Try to avoid spending significant money if you're tempted to spend £ it won't make a huge difference early days, but certainly will later. At level 170+ you'll start feeling the difference but by then you'll likely be in a guild who can help out too

As was said above, there are a bunch of guides. There's a spreadsheet that was made by someone else, it's linked somewhere maybe in one of the sticks, I can't remember, but it's also linked on my site. That spreadsheet is your best source of info up to level 100. After that start looking at the lists on my site that should help

I'm struggling with finding loot drops since i got to around level 45. i was able to switch out my gear as i went up until then, but now i find the odd book here and there and sometimes some pots will drop. but i'm not getting usable items.
I'm also not sure how to level skele and shin, as they don't seem to die! and the guards don't take them out. even when i log out they don't die!
I'm also mining to build cash reserves, but is there a better way?

You're one of us . I have woken up hearing the slaying nice warriors make HOEYAA!!. Thank god I'm not the only one ! Lvl 47 on euro Mir was pretty good going . You'll level easy on here .

Stick to the DS caves . Like halls of agony and isles DS maps . Until around 160 then you should get a bit of momentum going and know your way around by then .

like some other have said zades site is really helpful even as you become more experienced some good info there for upgrades etc

In the early days selling ancient lichens can be a good source of income . Mining isn't really a thing on Arcadia .

go to the training room, same location as euro mir. preferably with a skill necklace if youve done the quest for it.
 
Press F12 and go to the help tab. It shows you the commands and shortcut keys you can use

@Slaughter to kill all your pets. Copy it to clipboard and you can repeat it easily

It's exactly what happened to me too. I played dragon server however many years ago that was. Then had a random memory one day and decided to see if the game still existed, found this and was immediately hooked again. And I'm still here, a lot of years later 😁
