You can get them for free by hunting Sneaky Santas in snowbrook, once the event has started. The ones in shop are just for people who are impatient and want access to the private areas faster. They are quite expensive so I wouldn't recommend unless you have a bunch of gg to burn
Or simply don't like PK and can afford not to worry about pk'ing on an open map. It isn't all about impatience but about the freedom of choice to chose how you play the game.
Wasn't saying it as a negative. I'm included in the generalisation.
It's unfortunate there's a lot of people who don't like pk but also can't afford the gg, those are the people who will miss out.

Nope. All sizes are in drop files, you get what you get. Bigger ones drop with lower rates
From speaking with members of the guild it appears they are massively less value for money than normal. Last night I hit the caves and though they were very good this year, tough and sometimes too many mobs for me to not get cained as nowhere to hide and mobs high enough level that I cant confuse which is perfect, not a walkover as usual, but, the exp....
From speaking with those that spent the time in the normal caves the exp is on par if not better in the normal cave due to the amount of mobs and with drops being a bit tight in the gp cave can't see a benefit of spending the gp. Will try the normal cave after work and compare the two but suspect the gp cave to be less of an incentive than normal which is a shame as loads of gg saved ready for it!

Exp is only slightly faster in gg rooms. No way worth the gg when the main cave is masssive and packed full of mobs. Drops are pretty dismal in gg cave aswell. Zero artifact essence or design and I played for the whole lunar event. Prob spent 2k in there yesterday. All I really got was exp, a hunt bundle. Couple small runes. That’s about it. Nothing like previous events. I’m just glad we got the massive cave this time to make up for it.
maybe we have been spoiled in the past and this is how it should have been all along, olny down side i see is gg donations been way down, if andy happy with this then fair play
Just trying the big pressie cave again at 308% EXP at lvl 184 you only gain 0.77% so not worth it IMHO.

As someone under 140 who has used a small present for the first time today I was satisfied with my little cave. The exp was ok nothing crazy, the difficulty was fine, I had a champion couple of drops to sell found a couple of mythic bits (which are worthless right now but there's no timeout on them) and two fine oils to save. I quite enjoyed it 
However, I've heard the over 140's are having a really hard time getting presents and the effort involved for the reward isn't worth it at all. I completely understand that.
