Dura Orbs Again

my wife bought a dura orb to repair her boots yesterday.
but it doesnt work boots are 3/16 and orb says gem has reached maximum upgrade and stays in bag ???
whats wrong

As dura orbs state, it will increase the dura by 1 upto a maximum of 6.

Example is your ring is dura 1/8, you use a dura orb it becomes 1/9.

If your ring us dura 14 and you use a dura orb its already at max +6 so would not upgrade further.

They have been changed back to the way they were. They increase max dura now instead of repair because a lot of people complained about the repair version.

Just normal repair the boots at NPC, when they drop dura use an orb to add dura back on to keep them at max

Don't understand why boots and belts can't be special repaired anyway. Very outdated part of the game.
Dura orbs to add dura yes, but fanny arsing about to repair belt and boots no. Gm needs to make these items repairable in heros village...

Or maybe only in castle, more incentive to fight for it
