Since the addition of the Daemon mobs and Dark Orcs, warriors have been struggling a lot with killing these types of mobs. Leveling in these caves can be extremely difficult and, in some situations, almost impossible.
Warriors are missing a spell that allows them to deal with these mobs effectively, even when pulling a small lure. With the addition of Cross Fury, I was hoping this problem would finally be solved. Sadly, after testing the spell, that doesn't seem to be the case.
The spell seems to have enough power to kill the mobs, but there are several problems:
1. Spell range
The range of Cross Fury is too short. Many of these mobs can hit you from a greater distance than the spell can reach. This makes it difficult to use the spell effectively, especially when trying to manage a lure.
2. Stun effect
To survive even a small lure, warriors need a reliable way to slow down or stun mobs, giving them enough time to recover HP and continue fighting. Unfortunately, the stun effect on Cross Fury feels extremely weak. The mobs continue hitting almost constantly, making it very difficult to survive.
3. HP regeneration
The HP regeneration provided by the spell also feels far too low to make a meaningful difference in these situations. It doesn't seem sufficient to compensate for the damage warriors receive while using the spell.
Testing
I tested the spell earlier with the mobs in Helping Hero. I was able to pull a lure of 20+ mobs and kill them relatively easily using Frost Frenzy.
However, when I pulled only 4 mobs and used Cross Fury, they killed me within a matter of seconds.
This comparison shows that the problem isn't necessarily the mobs themselves, but that Cross Fury currently doesn't provide the survivability and control a warrior needs to use it effectively.
I really hope the spell can be reviewed. The damage seems to be there, but the range, stun reliability, and HP regeneration need improvement if Cross Fury is intended to help warriors level in these caves.
