Blurry bold text

I know a couple of people have had this issue were you can’t really read any of the text as it appears in a blurred bold font. Any ideas for a fix please?

It sounds like the language packs not installed.

The game uses Ms Sans Serif font.

Check your windows folder, under fonts. Make sure you have it installed. If not you can download it and install.

Given that a go, the font is under Microsoft sans serif, not sure if that makes a difference. I couldn’t even un install it and re download as it said it’s a protected system font. Thanks for the advice though

I had this prob for about 2 yrs, bought a well expensive laptop that gave me 80fps but cudnt read a fkin thing, I tried everything including changing tonnes of shit in the registry nothing worked. just learned to deal with it until i droped it one night and destroyed it,,

rip :(

Had the same thing , pretty sure it’s got something to do with windows updates . Have u upgraded to windows 11 by any chance . If you have performed a windows update try undo the update . Shame there no font changer options within game . Seems to be the more windows updates the more it rejects mir :S

No idea how to do that :(

Any suggestions from warda or Andy?

Wouldn't imagine resolution would have any effect on fonts - I do remember this cropping up before in other thread but weren't too sure what the outcome of that was. In fact I think it was you Aro who raised the query initially.

This may be a long shot, but assuming you've already tried checking your windows font packs are installed correctly as Dean mentioned above and restarting your PC - could try deleting the Mir2.exe from your install directory and re-running the patcher as admin.

Never had this issue personally so I'm keen to know what is causing this.

Did this suddenly happen or new computer? Did it happen after upgrade or re-install Windows? Anything?

Try download and install this: https://mirarcadia.com/sserife.fon

Not sure if this is any use, seems old and don't mess with registry if you don't know what you are doing!

For the record, in the main windows settings window, looking for fonts, there is no MS Sans Serif installed for me either (although it is installed). Pretty sure "Microsoft Sans Serif" is different.

You can possibly find some guidance online to reset default Windows Settings for fonts?

Other than that sorry but can't help much
