That's a good point as I saw something I would of bought however due to the Seller I was concerned about that very issue if I bought it.

If they come from a 3rd party account you wouldn't even know its stolen goods.

Just hope I haven't inadvertently bought any.

Big can of worms this account sharing lark, best to just not do it

Tbh i have no sympathy, you account share at your own risk… ive lost plenty of items and GG from account sharing all be it on project 69 server and you have nobody to blame but yourself, your playing an online game with people you dont know as much as the facade may be friendly you will never know peoples true intentions, i cant see GM intervening too much as the rules are pretty clear you literally get pop up messages in game warning of these exact consequences, totally understand its alot to lose… if the energy or will to gain it back is still there then thats probably your only option to rebuild your kit yourself and take this as a lesson learnt, sucks but thats life and this is mir cant really say much more then that. All the best.
 
There's zero argument for items being returned lol. Wild that anyone would think that's a possibility. Wild. If GM gave them items back after a willing account share there is literally no consequence to account sharing (which is advised against heavily). Sucks to be him, yes, but rules don't change for 1 man. He fucked about and found out. I imagine it was all well and good when he was getting levelled for free by the other dude. GM must know that if he returns these items after a willing account share he's pissing on his own rules. This is done and dusted either keep playing and try and catch up or quit, 2 simple options.
 
Ban the both of them, destroy the items. Set an example. Pathetic situation. Take action so those who follow suite know the precedent.
 
Malphite should not come out on top here, they've both broken the rules just delete them both? Stop dillydallying and set an example. IMO
 
Maybe a little harsh yes they shouldn't of shared accounts but to ban the guy who lost everything? Damn harsh
 
I think if people started getting banned for sharing accounts this game would die very very quickly lol.

If people want to share accounts then they are free to however they understand the risks of losing everything. When they do lose everything then I think sadly it's just another harsh lesson to be learned. As people have pointed out there plenty of messages saying "DON'T SHARE" if people choose to ignore those messages then in my mind they are in a sense signing an agreement that says along the lines of

"If accept the risk of getting screwed by the person I'm account sharing with"


On that I still think the person who stole everything should be punished to some degree. Just because it's such a shit thing to do to someone to anyone really. No matter what others think about the people involved.
 
For me it's very simple. They've both broken the rules, just delete the items and let them both carry on as they were. The fact that they can both keep their ranks and titles is an act of leniency granted by the GM

Is this not part of the problem? What's the fucking point in the rules if they aren't enforced?
 
I mean who does account sharing hurt? No one else apart from those who get betrayed? No one else really
 
Peoples items have been returned in the past.

Someone logged on to Vic, a heavily shared account, and he died and was revived until he had dropped all of his kit. It was sold and spread around the game. People got suspended, and the items were tracked and returned.

I think the big difference to observe is that Butcha doesn't tend to donate ££
 
Put the stealer down to level 1 for being a scumbag at the very very least.

Compensate butcher if you can so he doesn't just quit the game. What's then point in losing good players. And maybe this can teach everyone else a lesson.

It didn't teach anyone a lesson the first 100 times it happened, why would this case be any different
