Guild stability | The Legend of Mir

Guild stability

When guild is low level it's pretty easy

I maintained a level 20 guild entirely solo for quite a while

Only takes a concentrated group effort when you level the guild up more

If there's not many active players in your guild, let it drop a few levels and the requirement will go down significantly

There's a calculator on my site that shows you exactly how many points needed per day based on level and members, have a look and you'll see. What level is your guild at the moment and how many members are there?

It’s still a load of nonsense, no matter how you try and spin it.
Can you elaborate why you think that?

What problem are you facing? What level is your guild and how many members are there?

If you just want to rant but don't want a solution carry on. If you want solutions, work with us, answer the basic questions, and you can get some actionable guidance

If neither of those, you want to rant, don't want to help, but want others to help you, then the answer is "skill issue"

it’s a pointless part of the game i.e there’s no need for it, it just needs removed. Unsure what you don’t understand.

This is what we call an opinion everyone is entitled to one but not everyone else will agree with it.

It encourages activity
It encourages teamwork
It encourages people to join guilds and share experiences

Now let's hear some examples of what problems it causes

There's no need for the tree that's outside maggot lair, it does nothing, but nobody is asking GM to remove it. Why not?

It’s only pointless when people are not on to get points. Outside of that it makes sense 👍

When you have a few active players it’s ok, if it drops and you don’t then it feels like a huge battle to maintain.

It keeps the game from getting stale, too. So active guilds are always attractive to active players, it forces the parts of the metaphoric chess board to make a move.

I can relate to your fustration - by the way.

However, the alternative is the previous version that we know of; no guild points, unlimited member cap, you will just see 90% of the server sat in the same guild for years, dominating the game. All high level, inactive players just sat in there waiting to log in and crack on again. Its been tried & tested.

A lot of work went into this guild system and it is as zade said an engaging part of the game - as long as you are not left carrying the cross all on your own.

would be nice if we had more more seats in guild so we can play other characters so we're not playing the same one all the time

It's fine as long as the GP requirement is tied to the number of accounts and not the number of characters in a guild. That would be a good update to make.

Thats actually a fair suggestion, but it won't make as much of a difference as you think

The member count barely makes a difference. It does affect it but only in a very tiny way. Stability requirements are almost entirely based on guild level

If you really want to know, the formula is

Take the guild level, divide it by 2 then square it, then multiply by 4/3. Then add 2 for each member.

So if you have a level 16 guild with 10 members
16/2 then squared is 64, multiply by 4/3 is 85, add 2 for each of the 10 members, 105 guild build points per day required

If it encourages activity, why is there only 70 ppl online with probably half afk in sz?

What teamwork does it encourage? Most gain points solo, no team in solo.

the main reason to join guilds is for assistance and bossing, this does nothing to promote joining a guild at all. If anything it promotes not joining a guild.

I get some of you will like it, not an issue, I just think it’s a pointless part of the game and should be removed.

You've managed to post 4 times without answering the question. What level is your guild and how many members, I would be happy to help you out but you've got to help yourself too

It's the summer time that's why inactivity is what it is at the moment with the nice weather people like to go outside and touch grass.
Activity will pick up when the summer event rolls out and will then probably drop off again when it ends that's just the nature of the game it's hard to keep players active all year round.

Guys this has nothing to do with guild, there’s no question to answer, in my opinion this isn’t a good thing and it needs removed. No matter what question has been asked 4x I’m not going to change my opinion.

I get highs and lows, this is like a death cull. Do we really want a server that’s worked around events?

I’ve answered the question every time, guild stability is an absolute nonsense, I’m not sure what you want me to add 🤷🏻

Do I want to make it better or do I have any ideas, yes remove it!

So basically what you're saying is "I don't like it get rid of it!"
Unfortunately for you that's not how things work, not only here but in most real life situations that are out of your control.
It's not going to happen and I don't see a need to get rid of it as far as I can tell it works how it's intended.
It could do with maybe some tweaking I like the idea of accounts counted rather than individual characters so guild who have multiple chars of the same account gets a marginal decrease but only marginal nothing major just a slight decrease would be good and beneficial for a few guilds.

Doesn’t mean I can’t voice my opinion does it
Nope you can voice your opinion as much as you want but when you do so on a public forum don't be surprised when people disagree with you and try to have a conversation about what you don't like because that's how changes come about if enough people share an opinion then it's more likely to get changed.
