Bug Report Another round of negative optimization

There must have been some unfortunate OP mobs in your spawn then as I was literally running rings and lured them to the corner and went AFK to type that while killing :p. Unfortunately I cannot see what mobs spawned

There was a red Zuma statue that was working me over like prime Tyson

Finally as this has been mentioned a lot recently by people

P2W is an unfair insinuation. The item “sales” are trades between players, we just sell the GG that holds the value, and again, many work extremely hard between events to earn the GG. That value is derived from its function and stability.

Many games operate in seasons and see an increase in activity at those periods. The reason we spend so much time on events is because so many people spend their time to come and enjoy them. And, many players GRAFT in between those events to earn GameGold to spend in events. We tried a "GG lite" event last Easter and received the worst reviews and backlash as it insulted players who worked hard to earn GG or had dedicated some play time and wanted to spend some money. Recent events have had plenty of private hunt options for players not spending GG but you have to accept that GG is the main currency that everyone trades in and it would be pointless to make the currency pointless.

One of the biggest challenges we have to work with is players valuing items. I think people forget that buying something from the auction house keeps (most) the GameGold in game, the actual GameShop is quite fairly loaded and accepts other (PvE) game currencies. It is like people are seeing an item for sale for 3000GG and think we are selling that item for £200. We are not. You are trading between each other and the you set the value and then you use the GG again on another trade, and again..

If GG didn't have any exciting function then it wouldn't be useful to players. Players would just trade in Gold Bars and those Gold Bars would be back on ebay (like they used to be) and you’d have pure P2W and zero server funding.

This is exactly why we tried bound-to-account sets, but the same players who were set to benefit from it vehemently disliked it. Anything that is rare, trades for GG and anything that is not rare like Elysian items (since we showered players with it) is considered junk and not worth hunting for.

Anyway thank you everyone who supports us with time and money I know you are passionate - so are we

There has to be an element that brings you money in, that’s what makes the server run and makes the server better. That’s just the right thing to do in my opinion. The product is great, it’s exactly what the evolution of OG Mir should have been - and it’s not crystal files which is a huge plus for me.

I think the problem derives from the process being set by a few, and it’s that few that are the only ones who get the drops and get the items. So items are artificially inflated. As a solo casual player I can never find a group interested in boss hunting when I play, and anything I can solo kill drops a fine grinding oil at best.

Now something good has been the correction in rune prices and availability. As they were always way too overpriced. All I need now is to find agilonite.

Elysian items are still expensive - I’ve been hunting armour for god knows how long at not upgrade average stats people want 900GG for which is insane to me.

I don’t know the answer and the balance is never always going to be right. It’s not really a complaint of mine in regards to the server management, it is what it is and it’s just the reality of it. I just plod along regardless.

I think the other currencies are useful that’s for sure and I’ve enjoyed that element of having more options than just GG.

I don’t envy your task that’s for sure.

Objectively as I step back and look it’s going well. It’s just a few small things that make for me progress at 180+ hugely challenging for the casual player. Will it stop me playing? No it won’t.

I appreciate the work on it that’s not in question.

Yes it’s on my warrior, battle charge isn’t much use and largely irrelevant to have that lvl 3. And entrapment is pretty buggy in general on this server, they break free far too quickly. Diamond skin isn’t trained yet but that’s largely useless anyways.

I spawned in and there’s a red and a blue, then there’s an host of mobs that can see through the clear ring. Right away I’m under aggro.

I’m not a new player, I’ve played Mir since its release and understand the mechanics. Whilst you say there’s spots only 2 mobs can hit you, how can I find that with a tonne of mobs chasing me and the daft pigs ai that wander in to your frost frenzy.

I think you need to play it more to understand the troubles of a warrior. Especially in helping hero quests. I love the concepts and would absolutely do them. However right now they’re impossible. Difficult and impossible are two different concepts, I don’t mind difficult but I do mind impossible.

I’m sure you’re up for improving user experience. As you’ve spent so long on the quests and worked on them with a lot of effort surely you’d prefer we utilised them. Hugely disappointed in your last statement, basically suck it up - it’s your fault player.

I’m afraid if you played the game from 160 onwards as a warrior for any length of time then you’d understand how it is these days. Bloodlust? I think you must not see the reality of how inconsistent this spell is.

Impossible to get kit without paying GG and real money. Nobody wants to group for bosses which are largely always taken anyway and the drops as a solo player are not enough to help work towards that sort of next level kit.

I love the server and Mir, so don’t get that bit wrong. I’ve invested time and money and I’m hitting a wall. And I’m not alone in these helping hero quests.
Hi I think you defo should level them spells and also bloodlust works great on spells I’m going to guess you don’t use. Try using chm instead of frenzy spells. It procs bloodlust 5-10x more. Storm thrust and fire thrust also steal way way more hp than tdb.

@Scorpian
Diamond skin should make u totally immune from all damage whilst ur stoned as well. Giving u a chance to regenerate. Worked well on chronicles and wasn’t op in anyway.

I’ll try it. But when I tried CHM I just die in lures. Need FF to slow them.

On my warrior I'll use fire frenzy to do most of the damage, switch to frost frenzy for a couple of hits to freeze the mobs if I'm getting mashed, to give me a chance to regen my hp. Use blazing sword and flaming sword to proc bloodlust (it works a decent percentage of the time with those, but make sure you do it on a mob, not thin air). I also focus on agility and hp regen stats, they help a lot

Also another tip, when you RT most mobs take about 1 second before they notice you and start attacking. So if you're low hp on a small map, even if there's no safe spaces, just spam RT (1 per second) until your hp is recovered

Also, always aim to stand by a cliff or wall, especially in a corner, to minimise how many mobs can hit you at one time
