Arcadia appreciation thread for scorps birthday

Can we all just take a second to appreciate how someone/team has taken a 23 year old game which has been lets face it likely designed from some proper dodgy pirated incomplete server files and has tweaked it as much as it has been to be unrecognisable and superior to the actual product itself as it once was, also how they've managed to obtain the domain name 'thelegendofmir.com' on a private server and didn't get shut down.

It is truly a remarkable feat that the server files have been developed as much as they have done. The blue and red mobs, the moons, lvl 4 spells, guild caves, events etc it's truly fantastic if you think about it? As much as we all like to complain it's a proper job well done overall. Has anyone ever tried to play around with the available game files? it's a proper mess lol. Can't even cast spells.

Also, have you tried any other servers? They are complete garbage compared to this one.

Lets all suck up Scorp's Hole, so that when we have an issue, that should be resolved. He will then resolve it because we are all SUCK HOLES!

Ok honestly a lot of us have been really forgiving and accepting but dude enough is enough shut up. You... YOU allowed Malp access to your account DESPITE the fact it's WELL KNOWN that account sharing isn't allowed / frowned upon so maybe just maybe accept the fact you were an idiot for allowing him to have access and deal with it by either rebuilding or quitting instead of this endless fkin whining.

He's done an amazing job, I really do appreciate it.

And yup, I've tried to play so many other mir 2 servers, but they're all terrible. Most of them are cash cows that get deleted usually on the same year! Nothing beats p69 for me, not even euro mir :)

Would you be happy if the GM didn't even have the decency acknowledge anything whatsoever? Even if it was just to say what you have stated above!

I'd be pissed for sure.

Me and you never really got along, we had plenty run-ins, but after you lost everything I actually felt sorry for you and put our past behind us and we had a good chat. Your attitude now stinks though, back to the usual old butcha we know and can't stand. You've deleted any sympathy I had for you

GM treats people how they deserve. People who just get on with the game and be a nice person, tend to get treated very well. People who game the system and try to treat the rules like a law that they can get around using gray areas are not playing the game, not getting involved in the spirit of an MMORPG, they're just being dicks.

On no less than 2 separate occasions than I can think of, the game actually got updates specifically to stop you from causing problems for other players, dispite being asked nicely to give it a rest. You were aggressive and confrontational towards GM and towards the community.

To expect anyone to go out of their way to fix your mistakes for you after all that nonsense is an outstanding display of audacity

I mean no.. I'm being 100% serious here as well. If I broke a game rule and got punished for it I'm not going to suddenly expect the GM to do anything for me. That's the height of arrogance in my mind. "Oh I did something every single player is warned against doing but I expect you GM to go out of your way to answer me and deal with this issue"

How pissed would YOU be if the GM turned around and was like "So instead of working on fixing some game issues or working on a new update I've been helping Butcha get his gear back despite him breaking a game rule"

I would be fuming that the GM was spending his time helping a rule breaker rather than doing something that either benefits the rest of us or brings out new content. Why should a rule breaker have even a second of the GM's time when he could be helping legit players or doing literally anything else?

If it was the case of Butcha having lost everything to Malp who somehow hacked his account then yes 100% I would be so upset to not get an answer but that's not the case Butcha willingly gave over his details.

It's not a rule as such is it? It's basically at your own risk which I completely understand, but it would of been good of the GM to state the obvious at the very least, 10 years of play or whatever gone because of some Slink who I can guarantee manipulated Butcha into passing him his details the second time around with the intention of robbing him. Malphite is a smooth operator trust me.

I'll agree to disagree with you as you seem to be a very reasonable person. For me there is nothing anyone can say or do in this game that would make me give them my login details. I hold onto the idea that Butcha must of been getting something out of giving Malp the login details otherwise he wouldn't of done it.

Under game rules it does state "You are not permitted to share accounts or personal account information." So for me personally I take that as "You should be the only person logging into your account" But again everyone is free to understand the rules how they read them.

What a great choice you made adding Warda to the team, too! I'm sure his middle name is Consistent.
