Noob Arrives | The Legend of Mir

Noob Arrives

HI all,

Just waiting for the game to download and thought I would say Hi. Used to play the game back in the day so looking forward to stirring a few memories.

cheers

Welcome to the server!

It is going through a little bit of a quiet spell at the moment, as a few big events have recently finished. But that's a perfect opportunity to get a feel for it and have some fun before the next update comes along.

Have a read through the website and some of the sticky threads on the forum while it's downloading, and feel free to reach out to me ingame if you have any specific questions.

Best of luck!

Thank you. Are classes still the same ie warrior, taoist and wizard? oooo what to pick?

Your mileage may vary, kinda depends what style you like to play, everyone will have their own opinions there.

In my opinion warrior is the "simple" class, can play without too much thought and is a good all rounder. Wizard is fastest to level but isn't a great choice if you want to do a lot of bosses, as their single target damage is quite weak. Taoist is the hardest to level and hardest to play, but probably the most rewarding if you have the time to commit to it.

You can create up to 4 characters on the same account, and you get an exp bonus for all characters on account except your highest level one. So if you make one and decide you don't like it, you can keep that char and make another and get caught up to where your first one was pretty quickly!

Read the start of my Wiz Guide (linked in my signature). The first couple of sections really apply to all classes pretty much, so you can use that to keep you on the right track!

Thanks for the info, had a wizard back in the day so will choose one of the other classes to begin with, maybe a Taoist as I started one just before I stopped playing years ago. Like you say though, will try it and see how it goes. cheers

There will likely be people ingame who will offer to "level you" or give you some free stuff. Of course you can take the offer if you like, but in my experience that actually makes it harder in the long term. It might get you in an hour what would take you a week to do solo, but then you're stuck with insufficient spells, kit and ability and become stuck in a loop of needing more and more help from others to progress.

If you're in it for the long haul, I'd definitely recommend putting a bit of time in at the newbie levels to find your footing and enjoy exploring.

I'm always happy to offer any help and advice of course. You can find suitable places to hunt by clicking on the notice boards in towns and by pressing the H key and clicking quick hunt (not sure if this is level restricted, a lot of stuff opens up after around level 50, which won't take long if you charge through the starter quests!)

Welcome to the game!

Each class is great in its own way, and it's important to note that they are all undergoing changes to current spells and also getting extra spells added at end game pretty soon in the future.

Have fun!

Welcome, nice to see some new faces.

I agree with what's been said - there is some heavy development going on behind the scenes at current so it may be a nice idea to enjoy the quiet period and get to grips with everything and get a lay of the land. Feel free to reach out to us if you have questions.

Best of luck and enjoy!

Hi thanks for the welcome, everyone has been really nice.

I just got to level 80, have I mucked up? I was trying to go to hidden lands as part of the farmer quest but it tells me I'm too high a level. Does this mean I can't be reborn, is this important?

thanks

You can still get there, you have to go to mongchon, life death coffin, topside opposite evil cent is a door.
