No Champ Notification?

I'm sure in the past if a creature was a champ it would notify you?

Am I going crazy or was this a thing that has been removed?
 
What do you mean notify?
In the guild chat box it stays up?

I think they took it out recently because it was spamming the chat. Now you get a small notification in the top left when you've killed one but disappears quickly

He's not talking about when it's killed, he's talking about when there's one nearby. There's used to be a message in chat window that let's you know there's a champion mob detected, but it was removed a long time ago because GM wanted people to pay attention instead of running through caves just looking at the chat window to know when they find a champ
