After the last few updates we have enjoyed a steady increase in returning players and are happy to see that Arcadia is back<\/strong>! So, what’s new in Arcadia<\/strong>? Not only is there more content for the higher levels but the game is now much more beginner friendly<\/strong>, with increased drop rates and faster exp tables<\/strong>. Let’s take a look at some of the things we have added in the last couple of months.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

New hunting areas, bosses, kits and monsters<\/h1>\n

Paradise Sky<\/strong><\/p>\n

Based on the hugely successful Skies of Arcadia<\/a><\/strong> event hosted last year, we have created two brand new hunting grounds.\u00a0<\/strong>Head over to Arcadia<\/strong> and teleport into the heavens for a truly exciting experience in Paradise Isles<\/strong> or Paradise Lakes<\/strong>. Go head-to-head with a Timber Thorn<\/strong> and unearth\u00a0new equipment<\/strong>, or take a team to defeat the Sky Knight<\/strong> for a chance to discover new skills and spells<\/strong>.\u00a0Watch out for the dance of Four Tails<\/strong>, for his rage will make the ground tremble, and send you running back to town..<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Game Point Revamp<\/h1>\n

Every Boss<\/strong><\/p>\n

and every sub-boss<\/strong> now gives out GamePoints<\/strong>. Yeyy!<\/em> You will receive the points if you kill solo or even in a group<\/strong>. But only if the monster is not more than 30 levels below you<\/strong>! Some of the more secretive minions in Mir will also give you GamePoints when you kill them. Keep a look out!<\/p>\n

Halls of Agony<\/strong><\/p>\n

has a new horde of Kings Guard<\/strong> aimed at level 140+<\/strong>. The entrance to the cave collapsed but a friendly neighbourhood NPC is willing to teleport you inside for a small fee of GamePoints! Cheeky!<\/em>\u00a0This new area is boss-free<\/strong>, and is a safe-zone<\/strong> throughout.<\/p>\n

Old Tomb<\/strong><\/p>\n

has been abandoned by The Butcher<\/strong>. It seems he ordered the entrance to be sealed. A dazed and unhappy horde of leaderless minions lay trapped in this cave. An NPC outside will assist you getting in there for a small fee of GamePoints. The greater exp will make this worth your while! This new area is boss-free<\/strong>, and is a safe-zone<\/strong> throughout.<\/p>\n

Karma reading NPC in Ayarin Province<\/h1>\n

Did you know everything you do in game is monitored<\/strong>? That’s right, the Taoists of Ayarin Province<\/strong> like to keep a check on who’s been naughty<\/strong> and who’s been nice<\/strong>. Don’t worry, they won’t tell Santa this year. Karma<\/strong> affects many aspects of game-play, so speak with Yingu<\/strong> and find out your fate. A new body-glow aura<\/strong> has been added for those of you who have been forever kind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Upgrade that Gem!<\/h1>\n

Kevin’s gem refining<\/strong> system now has more options. Want more stats?<\/em> Grab Rough Grinding Oil<\/strong> and turn that Cracked\u00a0Orb into a Normal Orb<\/strong>. Sick of breakages?<\/em> Grab a Fine <\/strong>Grinding Oil<\/strong> and scrub that Pure\u00a0Gem into a Pure Orb<\/strong>. Although his success rates are greatly improved<\/strong>, he is sure charging for the privilege of his work!<\/p>\n

Drop rate update<\/h1>\n

Every single monster<\/strong> has seen a drop rate update<\/strong>, and every single monster below level 105<\/strong> has had rates increased by at least 100%<\/strong>. More than double drops<\/strong>?!? Crazy!<\/em> We have added more super-rares<\/strong> which means the drop rates<\/strong> on the old super rares are now much lower<\/strong>! Throw away your Holy Crystal<\/strong> gear, get ready for your fresh new Celestial<\/strong> kit.<\/p>\n

Rune and sockets can now be upgraded<\/h1>\n

Whaat?!?<\/em> That’s right, tired of XS and useless runes<\/strong>? Throw 3 into your bag upgrade<\/strong> and make a better version! There’s no messing around with this one, and no failure rate<\/strong>, simply place them into the slots, click upgrade<\/strong> and voil\u00e0<\/b>!<\/p>\n

Hunting Safer<\/h1>\n

After trialling a safe hunting zone<\/strong>, we decided to add a few more<\/strong> areas into the trial. A spread of regions now have safe-zone hunting<\/strong> areas where you can be free from pk<\/strong>. Check out the list below.<\/p>\n

This Christmas – Snowbrook Grotto is back!<\/h1>\n

On December 22nd<\/strong>, Old Saint Nick<\/strong> will open his portal to Snowbrook Grotto<\/strong>. This year the event features stronger monsters with better drop rates and higher experience. For those that are unfamiliar with the event format, there will be four\u00a0dungeons<\/strong> of ice and snow, where goblins and minions<\/strong> will send chills throughout your body. Look out for the super-boss Grotto Troll<\/strong> and his lieutenant Grotto Guardian<\/strong>, amongst hordes of thrilling, chilling, sub-zero-killing monsters with pockets full of jewellery.<\/p>\n
