Training Potion/Elixir

This may have been suggested before, but what about having the training potions timer freeze when in a town/safe zone just like the gameshop candles do. I usually like to have my arcamon leveled up before going hunting and if I gotta take a short break while on exp pot I would end up having to log to save the pot timer and then also waste some of the time when logging back in to level that pet again.

Idea is good for players only. For server it’s a loss, will effect it’s income so it won’t be implemented.

I'm not quite sure how it would effect the income of the server. Surely everyone who is "on pot" would log out to save the pot if they were planning to go afk for a period of time rather than wasting the pot. So by using the same rule as the gameshop candles it would just save us logging out to save the pot timer is all

By logging out/in sure does save you timer but has some consequences to it such as wiz pet hp. If using elixir will expire in 2h it will deffo generate the server more $$ vs using elixir that will go on for days depending when the player is in mood to log and go lvln.

But if I was to log out every time I needed to go afk when using training elixir just to save timer, would that not be the same as being able to go afk and stay logged in and timer not tick down?
I would still be spending the 20gg on that 1 pot either way. So I'm unsure of how my suggestion would effect the servers income.
You may be right and I can't see it from your view.

I am not a fan but I understand the reasoning. It's one of those things where there's really no 1 perfect solution. This option could easily paralyse players to SZ as opposed to the current prompt to go out and hunt.

Happy to give it a try though..
I'm more than happy to give it a go on a trial basis. I'm usually not one who can see the bigger picture, so not sure what the repercussions would be if you enabled this as a feature.

If, like vexus said, it will have a negative effect on server income then by all means keep it as it is

You know, I would be happy if the percentages stated on training potions actually made sense. In most cases (for me anyway) 100% is not 100%, and when used when another bonus is active they are even less. They should come with some sort of warning.

It would be better if they were just named small and large, with the percentage part omitted. Then, i wouldn't even care to pick at something so pointless 😄

I’m glad this wasn’t just me then tbh cos your right it’s not 100% I can fully vouch for that I have used them a lot from 180 to where I am now and defo not 100% for me.

I've seen a couple of people get confused over this, but it's simple and makes sense once you realise what it's doing

It's +100%, not x2
Look at your current exp rate, it's already got other boosts such as subscription, resting, 2nd char, tao buff etc. It's not uncommon to see exp rates at 500%+
So if your exp rate is say 450% already due to other buffs, then pop a 100% pot it will become 550%

This is why I generally recommend that spending on pots like that is only worth it when it heroes league because most other buffs are gone, so you get better value out of them. Increasing from 130% to 230% is a much better step up than from 450% to 550%

You don't really need to worry about them though, levelling is so fast these days anyway it barely matters. Spend your gg on improving your kit instead, being able to kill faster and having to go home to re-pot less often will be more beneficial to your levelling time than a nudge more exp per mob

Ahhhh I now see thank you for clearing that up because yeah more then once I thought it defo wasn’t 100% but yeah that all makes sense now. Thank you
