Received the email and can see the board has been updated to just show some buffs, not an actual event.

Is that all thats happening? no event with GG caves?
 
Yeah when I read event board other day it said warm ups was from 18th and then summer event from 22nd . I can only assume that with those buffs there won't be any gg cave or actual event .
 
warm up event AKA small buffs before the main event, one of the other boards should show it, theres a week of buffs like the luna buffs then the main event will follow.
 
Yes, but the event board has been updated to show more buffs in place of what did say summer event.

Combine that with the email not mentioning anything about an actual event leads us to believe there is no actual event.

Hopefully scorp can comment.
 
Patience people patience !!! Still got a week before “main summer event starts” . Last event I’m pretty sure he posted all the info on it the day before it started.
 
I don't know why the GM seems to keep it a big secret until last min . Why not announce it build some excitement more people could plan their work schedule around it . But always announced last 2 days before .

If people know too many specifics then it's possible sometimes to prepare in certain ways to give yourself an advantage in the event.

All we need to know right now are the dates, and they've been published for ages

To be fair I have wondered the same but more then likely it’s probably to do with sorting the bugs etc he’s probably wanting to test to the best he can before releasing anything about it.

also think silly as it sounds maybe if it was done a week before some people might get bored of waiting a week to play when they been given all the info straight away . I think one of the common reasons will we stick around and wait for it is that curiosity of “not knowing”.

Then factor in he more then likely has a full time job and if he has kids then yeah having the time to yourself to do these things is about as realistic as Coventry city winning the champions league 😩.
 
I understand his reluctance to let info out way to early on events, its now Thursday and no info, the Summer event is a tough 1 for many as Holidays abroad , Heat , Work etc . My guess it will be the hardcore few and the Bicycle gangs doing the rounds as per the norm.
If i knew more in advance I could take or book the odd day off as i dont i am not going to bother and suck and see if I feel like it ill log on if its useless and not worth it ill save my efforts and money for other stuff ...

If its a gg cave or a mass open pk fest boss map , exp caves lvl split etc etc I make an informed choice based on information as to wether i book a few days off to lvl or not ..... which sort of requires some notice ....

Fair enough 😎 last few events have been pretty mixed with something for everyone, GM been really pulling it out the bag especially at easter imo, hoping for more of the same!
 
Gritt is 100% right it is a really busy time of year especially with kids off school

We usually make the final announcement post when the event is finished so we know what has made the final cut
 
This is not meant as a negative comment, but didn't we have the same on the board for summer last year then nothing happened and then we got an apology from Scorp something along the lines of too much work too little time. I may have dreamed it??

Easter was a good event, I think a few things were missing from the drop files that would have been in a 30gg cave (rune removal tool being one), the exp I think was good. I enjoyed it. I would like to see a 30gg caves option in future events, maybe with same files as bosses available from the loot mob. 30gg for the chance of something nice and with a bit of exp thrown in, but at least a 900k scroll or some arc food, Fine oil thrown in as well.
