Please reverse my Karma

I turned my attack mode from peaceful to Guild ally today when Ammar and Sa7id attacked us while boss hunting.

Later I recalled two noobs to help them lvl mid-PVE fight and killed the lower lvl one. Instantly went to Red and am now still red a couple hours later.

I cant go to town. I am vulnerable to PK and dropping my hard earned items because I chose to help new players and forgot to change my attack mode.

Can anyone help? Why did I go straight to Red and not Yellow? How long will I be Red?

You get more severe punishment for killing much lower levels than you. I think this is just so unfortunate to happen to you, especially in such an innocent circumstance.

If you go to Hell (not sure if you still do) you can teleport into the hunting grounds and run around the map to kill HellDemons and other things that reduce PK points, alternatively pay DemonSouls. I haven't been red in a very long time so I am not 100% sure if this is still the case, though.

Yeah that's correct, and you do still go to hell.

I can't remember the exact level difference, tried to find the update note that mentioned it but can't find it. But yeah, killing much lower level gives more pk points. Designed to punish people who pk noobs. Very unfortunate that you've been hit with that, just need to be careful with your attack mode!

If you press H while red you will see how many pk points you have.
0-99 = white
100-199 = yellow
200+ = red

You can wait until you naturally drop below 200 and go yellow, I think it's 1 point every 2 minutes (or there abouts) so if you're on 260 pk points you'll be yellow in around 2 hours.

If you use a TT while red you go straight to hell. Every mob you kill in hell reduces your points by 1, so that's a fairly fast way to do it. Also the NPC can remove them instantly but it does cost a lot of DS

Thank you guys, I appreciate the insight. This is a good learning experience.
It seems pretty easy to go back to yellow. But where can I find a TT without getting killed by guards?

I could try to get killed by mobs and use revive scrolls if I drop anything important.

I've no idea where you would actually get a tt from haha! Prob go to Bichon as it's no drop and die is the best bet if there isn't a safer way

Ended up hunting in Bug Cave until Gladioter brought me many maxifluid bunny’s to keep my spirits up. After about 3 hours I became yellow.

No sweat.

Reminds me of the Euro days when had to just sit in mongchon border town afk with a 56k dial up that used to disconnect every 25 mins . Or just do what you do and go on a grindy hunt untill yellow .

I remember when it took 3.5 days to DL. I have to download a program to save my mir DL so I wouldn’t have to start over.

Someone would always call once/twice a day and d/c my 56k at what seemed like the most inoppertune time!

Being in USA my lag was always so bad I could only ever hunt in the mines as a mage.

It took me a few days to download Mir back in the day. It was well worth it!
