It's awful what happened because regardless if you like someone or not losing years of progress sucks for anyone.
However don't ban people who account share just merely have the rule reinforced that
"You want to account share? Fine do it, however if you get screwed there will be no help for you in the slightest as we've warned you not to do it"

Nope (At least not as far as I'm aware) I think he's trying to say that anyone who account shares should be banned since it is against the rules.

If it's at own risk, put it in your own rules. It currently says the above in the EULA. Not permitted. Or you can account share and hog all the servers bosses 24/7. Buzzing. Walking contradiction or what.
Rules are rules, correct me if I'm wrong? Change them to be accurate if it is different now? As it stands, rules are being broken with zero consequences. I didn't make the rules fyi, just an observation.
Believe in game message states something along the lines of
Account sharing is at your own risk
If he was to go thru the logs and look at accounts with multiple ip addresses registered on them you'd be playing with even less number of players

Tackling account sharing is not currently top of our agenda. Account sharing mostly adversely affects those sharing. Many multinational corporations struggle with account sharing - there is no simple fix.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I don't articulate myself very well - I speak before I think but my POV is, if I am 1 character and 1 person (which I am) on BST (which I am) - you would think getting up at 5am would net more boss opportunities, or perhaps playing at 11pm would offer the same. But, I find (due to account sharing) that no matter if it's 1 3 7 9 10 12 PM/AM the top players who seem to account share are ALWAYS active, meaning it doesn't really matter how I adjust my schedule it's impossible to compete with a player who is active across all time zones due to sharing. I hope that makes sense.

I don’t think you will get any resolution about sharing accounts.
It’s all fun and games until items also become shared, “because we’re such good buds”!
One day someone wakes up on the wrong side of the bed and then no one knows for 100% which items are whos and in the end no one ends up happy. “This and those items are mine, I lvl’d your char”! Ect.
Then to not lose items that person has deemed are rightfully theirs, they end up taking more than their share to not be the one to end up with less.
And this is what happens in an easy scenario!
Sharing accounts creates problems.
Just play the game and enjoy the work Scorpian and the Mir community have collectively created.

This based on nothing , as if ur some one own an account ur free to do what ever u want with it , but clearly '' at ur own expense '' , its same in real when 2 partners share on project what ever happens it just reflect on them win or lose case its just simple as that .
Even tho i dont even share my account with players . but let me clarify about the part u saying '' if lots shared on account is always active and cant compete '' , this just give error 404 tbf not even based on sense .
as lets say theres 3 shared on 1 account and that account online for fair time , is it any difference if those 3 shared playing on 3 different accounts ? , in fact its be even worse if 3 players on 3 different accounts . as they still can cover different time shedule , add on that they will give u proper ganging .
about the part u saying ur lvl 200 , which players at lvl 200 thier kits are not bad , so i dont even think ur lvl 200 nor if some one lvl 200 would moan on that , its just embarssing and dont match .
On part u saying its '' pay to win '' thats deffo not right , as since theres market ur freely sell stuff at , making gg in different ways same as gold , can basicaly making adecent full kit with out even donate .

This is how most server owners do it tbf and it’s probably the best way to go about it, at the end of the day account sharing is something as old as Mir itself and very difficult to prevent, I suppose it boils down to risk vs reward lol

To answer that, two people do have an advantage, the char can be manned pretty much 24/7 me and my brother used to do it on Mir Revenge, was slightly different though as we lived together, worked opposite shifts and both played from the same PC
Personally account sharing isn’t something that bothers me in game, like I said I’ve done it in the past, I’d not do it with someone who I don’t know personally though and my brother has long since quit Mir lol
About the only solution is to say it’s done at owners risk tbh as policing it would be almost impossible lol
