Helping hero too hard

I’ve failed/tted from my last 4 maybe 5 helping hero’s. They’re not resetting if we fail. All mobs are 210+
I thought this was supposed to be fun. They scale too high level

My current task is to give 100 mythic essence and I don't want to!
And it won't give me the option to skip have had this for a couple of days now. 😒

Both my chars are being asked for myth ess (260 combined), which is too high given the rarity of items to salv now. Also given the high cost to myth socket something in conjuction with its rarity, it has become a more valuable commodity.

As such, I cant help but feel the player is then being penalised in having to wait for 3 or 4 days for the oppertunity to cancel the offered quest. In this instance I dont think the expense is commensurate with the experience/reward. We are not trying to exploit the unfortunate villagers predicament, but I do consider it reasonable that we should be permitted to move on to the next one in a more timeous manner.

If the villager in question is unreasonable, the next villager should be able to request our services within the next 24hr cycle.

Thoughts?

My last one I had was just a square box with either 200 or 300 mobs, which included those dark orc fire and ice archer mobs. cant drag anything anywhere because i'm being hit from all sides, rt and its just as bad, can't bring pets in to help as they get killed real quick because there getting hit from all sides. They are not fun to do on a wiz. Not easy to take the damage even with 8k Health. Not fun at all.

The things they request are generally ok although I may just be lucky (but don't even entertain the myth essence or source requests), as Coldanvil has said above with myth item drops being scaled back, even more during events, unless your on a GG private cave. Surely it would be better to have a skip feature? but then you have to wait 24 hours to get the next one or just change them asking for it in the 1st place.

I like helping heroes , I don't think the requests are too demanding ,it's about luck on what they ask and sometimes is nice to have something not too easy to do.
But I agree that there should be a skip button, once a day, so u have one chance more to find a suitable quest.

And YeS , red , blue and shamans orcs(all ranged mobs) are usually at lvl 210+ and they are a pain in the ass , those should be lowered a bit or put in a map where you have a bit more of movements and you can actually lure them out of their big group. if u bring with u one of those items with special power they die easly but the damage they deal is unbearable.
suggestion for others , pull first all the other mobs from far away , usually those orcs are the group "guardians" and if you attack them first all the group will follow, u should try to leave them last and kill others before (dark and not ranged ones) but again , if u have no space to go... GL

My only issue with the Helping Hero quest is how scaling works at higher levels. I’m currently level 200, but I consistently get mobs spawning at level 203+++ with special attributes like Dark Orc or Demon.

The problem is that to deal with those efficiently, you need gear infused with Dark Orc or Demon Doom , but those items can only be equipped starting at level 203. I know there is a workaround using items with “Younger Source” so you can equip them earlier, but that’s not really a practical solution for everyone. I haven’t been lucky enough to get one, and crafting one is way too expensive for me right now.

So I’m stuck fighting higher-level mobs without access to the tools designed to counter them. As a result, I have to kill everything one by one, which takes anywhere from 30–60 seconds per mob. With 200+ mobs to clear in just one hour, it becomes practically impossible to finish the quest in time.

It really feels like there’s a progression gap here. Either the mobs should scale closer to the player’s level, or there should be a more accessible way for sub-203 players to deal with these attributes. Right now, it just feels frustrating and unbalanced.

I think the key issue is with mob balancing

The line between "too easy / boring" and "instant death / impossible" is too narrow

Need to find a way of having something a bit more in between

99% of stuff in the game I can confidently do solo, I don't even bother with a rev ring a lot of the time, I only use it when I think there's a risk of pk. The 1% of stuff I can't do is just instant death, no point even trying.

I do try occasionally, GM have a look at my rev scroll purchases last night for example lol.

I feel like helping heroes is a great opportunity to hit that spot. I appreciate the balancing has been adjusted recently, but I think it does need revisited
