This is just a collection of ideas me and a few players have spoken about in guild that would possibly help maintain a higher user count and even attract new and old players back to game.

Mentoring / Group hunting

As it stands currently especially after the latest event there is a big level difference within the majority of guilds. Ordinarily this isn't a problem, however on this server say for example i want to take some level 140's on a guild hunt, they gain the same exp from kills as a level 190+ does, preventing them from being able to level whilst hunting with the guild. I realise this exp cap was added to prevent already high level people levelling too fast but it seems to punish the lower levels meaning they're actually better off levelling and hunting on their own rather then in a group, surely that can't be good..? To combat this would it be possible to either alter the group exp system or maybe instead implement some sort of mentoring system, this would encourage people to hunt together whilst also helping lower levels to catch up, could be something like the lower level player recieves a 50% exp boost and the higher level gets a 5% ac/amc boost or something, just a thought

PvP / Wars

I realise this probably wont be a popular suggestion but from what I've seen Curse is far too powerful in fights, as in turns the entire balance of a fight. Whilst its useful in PVE its far too debilitating when used at wars, is there a way this could be nerfed but just for PvP damage, whilst maintaining the PvE qualities of it..? This will promote much better fights all around, as it stands even good fights last next to no time when a few tao's are there, people shouldn't be getting 1 hit at wars due to debuffs that's crazy, there are probably other tweaks that could be made to balance PvP too, feel free to add other suggestions to the thread (bound items could also do with a rethink imo)

Annoying Bugs / Glitches

I've noticed sometimes when being time recalled from a cave you'll get a black screen flicker afterwards, also happens with player recalls occasionally (sometimes when you tele in somewhere i.e event caves) and the only way to remove it is to close and reopen the exe.

When you try and trade with somebody, everytime without fail you will have to put the items in the trade window more than once as the server cancels the trade, this is incredibly irritating if for example you're trying to pass items between accounts etc especially if you're on an exp pot and in a rush

Occasionally the Hoards in guild arena drop nothing and give no build points, it's very rare but it happens so presume this is some sort of glitch


This isn't a moaning post, just a collection of idea's aimed at trying to help, please don't turm this into a flame/arguing thread im genuinely interested to see if anyone agree's has similair idea's etc :)

Curse can be puri'd very easily now since puri is a mass skill, so try have a well rounded team and you wont be affected? Stop trying to nerf us! TaoLivesMatter #TLM

Really..? stop making the post about you dude, even other high level tao's have agreed. A well kitted level 190 player should not be getting 1 hit by another due to curse, curse has never been this powerful on any other server and for good reason

curse works 1/1, puri doesn't. When a skill renders someone's defence completely useless and on a mass scale, no matter how you dress it up it's broken, its not even like its cast per player its a mass cast skill. Name one other skill that is as powerful as that..? if he nerfed it in PvP i suppose you'd just have to make do with , Lower Fire & Ice, Plague, AC/AMC/DC/SC/MC buffs, Pets, Slowing anyone near you amongst the countless other skills you have, poor tao's eh :rolleyes:
 
I agree with this including the curse part. Leave it alone for pve where it is the most useful but nerf it a little bit for pvp. And that's coming from me who literally only has a chance in pvp with curse it just needs to be looked at. But then again all of pvp needs to be looked at and @Scorp has already said in previous posts that a big update is coming looking into a bunch of things including pvp. We're not saying to make curse useless just to make it more well rounded for everyone in pvp.
 
I wont speak on pvp as I don't do it and probably never will. 300+ping life.

Mentoring is a good idea but the problem is I have too many noobies I'm helping at the moment. I wouldn't be able to pick just one =/

I literally just got 4 noobies in ganja and have been helping them daily.

For the level disparity I moved to playing my tao so I can hunt with them and they still get xp.

But it's still a good idea tbh.

Curse is the most broken unbalanced unfair unjustifiable cruel one-sided improper inequitable book I have ever seen before!!!
Absolutely NOBODY can justify this spell, are you kidding me? It's so overpowered that it makes taoists a godlike class.
The skill is so broken that it damages the class itself it's like a fucking double edged blade!!!!!! you use curse on a tao, boom that tao gets 2 shot.
Absolutely ridiculous Can't believe gm added it to the game!

Meanwhile warriors: diamondskin
 
I mostly play tao now cos it's so OP even compared to my wiz, I'd support nerfing curse in pvp and I'd still be better off on tao
 
I can see the benifits in a PVP only nerf to curse however if its messed with and effects pve then no way leave it alone , after so long taos have been a crippled jack of all trades master of none class , couldnt level a same rate as other classes etc curse in a PVE enviroment along with plauge made a Tao and leveling viable again ...
PVE and leveling is quite balanced now across the server classes , yes there a few tweaks each class would like , some spells not as the class had expected etc but still workable and gets the job done ..............
Nerfs to anything always has a knock on effect so buyer beware when asking for them .....................

i agree mate, it should be left as it is PvE wise, im pretty sure he would be able to make it only effect PvE or at least lower its effectiveness for PvP. You know what, I do agree! I think it would be acceptable to reduce the impact in PVP similar to repent. Repent orig reduced attack by 20% in both PVE and PVP, but was later altered as to only reduce damage by 10% in PVP. I wouldnt disapprove of a proportionate adjustment to curse.. LETS DO IT AND STOP THESE PROTESTS!! 🤠
