We chatted in-game but I'll respond here just in case anyone has the same question and searches the forum for the answer.

That room isn't used for anything that I'm aware of and the fact you can even get to it seems like a bug. I'd suggest just ignoring it and proceed to 3F stairs at the top right of the map

Watch out for Medusa on 3F, she's got a paralysing glare!

Yeah apologies, there may be some remnant maps laying around that were added but never fully finished. In fact I hid a secret in one of them years ago I don't think anybody ever found. Probably long gone now though!
