So I played this game a lot 20 years ago and just decided to find it again, back then legend of mir 2 was dying and everyone was moving to different games.

I'm lv34 now after 1 night.

Is there any guides because it's been so long since I played.

Thanks

Continue with Emily's quests in border village they should get you up to nearly 50, then speak to Farmer npc in Bichon Wall and start grinding his quests or as an alternative press H quick hunt see the recommended caves and just hunt there you'll exp really quickly - how you level is up to you honestly there are sooo many alternatives its not just 1 or 2 caves

Thanks. I was following the quest but it said Halloween but couldn't get through the portal.

A lot is the same as 20 years ago but it's so different also, seems way easier to level up now, but back then they didn't have lv 199!

Oma King was amazing, maybe that's OK the older server?

Cheers for advice. I thought about this game many times over the years, surprised there is still a decent community still enjoying it.

I put a lot of years into the first release of the game

Hi, welcome to arcadia 😁.
There is a guide on here that zade had made up for Wiz which can kinda work for other classes too. It's a little outdated but should help you out a bit. Most of us are friendly enough to help/guide you if we can. I'm still learning new things every day. If you get going on the farmers quest you will soon shoot up to level 100 I no time. While it's nice to get some quick levels done, you kinda out level your gear really quick. But you should get enough items from drops to keep you going without having to search all the vendors for gear.
The exp has been tweaked from 0-180 I believe and the drops rate is good till 170 so in theory you should be able to get some skills and items needed just from killing the mobs while you are levelling up.

Also to build up your demon souls for going in higher rate exp caves or using them in the new section of the gameshop there is a quest which can be obtained from an NPC in mongchon. Just press Q and look for the extermination bounty. I think you can earn 30 souls a day just from filling the kill meter to the max which hunting regular mobs. Quite a few newish players if asked about this quest were still unaware of it even though they were well over level 100.

Welcome back!

I agree with everything that's been said above. Quests are a great way to get fast exp at low levels, they'll probably see you through to around level 80ish

Press Q to see available quests, click on one and it'll show you where the npc to start it is. Emily in border is only available until level 50, farmer in BW has a lot to do (it says 100+ quests but is really only 96, that's always bugged me lol). The Halloween event finished a couple days ago but the quests and npcs are still visible until the server is rebooted, which way'be confusing for some people who didn't know about it

When quests get a bit slow, time to start levelling 'normally'. Press H and it'll give you quick teleports to 3 level-appropriate areas. It's worth trying all 3 and see which one you like best and stick with that for a bit. It's also worth exploring all the towns and portals (every town has portals to various different caves)

On my website (link in sig, and in sticky thread) has a page listing all caves in order of mob level. Caves that cost demon souls to enter give better exp, so save up any souls you get (from killing bosses, and super/champion mobs) and use them up when grinding exp

Your biggest problem will be that you'll level so fast it'll be hard to keep up with level-appropriate kit and spell books. Kit up to level 100 you'll find in shops, after that look in auction house (AH), by clicking the blue button with the white house on it near the bottom corner, it only works when you're in a safe zone in town. A list of item names and levels is also an my site, so use that as a reference

For books, check the hunters resource, by using the link on the home menu (press H key) or using a notice board in town. That will tell you where all the books can be found, drop rate of low level stuff is pretty high so you shouldn't encounter any issues until level 100+ then you can buy what you need from AH if you find the too slow to hunt for by yourself

Best way to make gold for low level players (and high levels still do the same tbh) is to pick up ingredients from the floor as you go and sell them. Peddlers will generally buy everything, but there's some stuff (especially AncientLichen and Liferoot) that people will pay well for, so you can list those in AH, search for the and see what other people are selling them for and just match that and they'll sell soon enough

Best of luck, if there's anything specific that's confusing you do feel free to ask any time :)

Thanks a lot guys.

I don't have as much game time now as I did 22 years ago when I first started haha but I am enjoying it. Thanks for all the information. Used to love going on group hunts just luring big swarms of mobs and the group would just blitz them all.

I remember setting alarms in the night to get up to kill mob bosses that dropped rares oma King especially back then and we'd post all the rares on the forum to sell in game.

Thanks for advice I'm looking forward to jumping back in and having a go.

Wow, I kinda wanted to say this but I'm just not good with explaining myself lol. Always super helpful zade 👍

Thank you for this very detailed and helpful comment, I've taken screenshots of it and sent to people I know who are new this well help them a lot.

Cheers zade :)

Guys, on the missions you get from.bichon farmer, the quest where you need to kill 20mobs from a few different places. Stone temple the mobs are really difficult they take about 75% of my hp with 1 hit.
Im currently level 104 with top of the range shop items.

Am I missing something because it says on the guide for newbies that this quest is easy?

There is another quest where you need to kill 5000mobs in there? Have I entered stone temple top high a level and therefore I'm getting harder mobs I think they are almost lv200 the mobs. Zombies.

cheers guys

Stone temple was updated recently with higher level mobs. I think you can still access the noob version via the portal (maybe wrong, I'll check later when I'm on)

Welcome back to the game. Lots of changes in decades. I'm very sure you eager to lvl up as fast as you can. But tbh, at some point you'll get bored when you reached 160++ and started to ask around for group hunt while nobody responded to any of your request. You might as well ask to join Castle Owner guild.

Not to forget, you might need to upgrade your kit with loads of runes MC, MA, HP and so on. Game gold is imminent.

Apart from that, you'll try to do bosses but unfortunately camped by higher lvl that PKed you (if u r enemy guild).

Things has gone totally different but depends on you on how you gonna enjoy the game. I'm sure there are still good players to help in game. Try to jump on weekly challenge from tuesdays till sundays. Give you good xp as well good drops (Yimo).

All the best to you pal. GG la

Thank you I'll certainly look into guild next time I'm online. Got told off my the Mrs earlier so had to come off haha

Something I didn't have to worry about first time around 20 odd years ago

I'd actually recommend the opposite. If you get involved with the big main guilds you'll certainly get levelled and kitted out faster, but things also get real serious at the top

If you just want to enjoy it as a game, don't be put off by people who complain about being bored after grinding for 1000 hours for some unobtainable goal

Just play your own game your own way and enjoy it. I've created many anonymous chars that I've played to level 140+ just to escape the drama sometimes it's like a holiday when you're low level, just chilling and killing stuff, doing quests etc. Don't rush to 'escape' the honeymoon period

By all means, joining a lower level guild can be good for socialising and the occasional group hunt, and of course advice as you go along. That's what's probably best for you at the moment

There are plenty people here who have played this server for many years and will complain about intricacies that are of no relevance to you. I won't deny being one of them. But definitely don't let that put you off, you're a few thousand hours of playing away from having to worry about any of that stuff

Thanks again for reply.

It's the nostalgia for me, having done all the serious stuff 20 years ago on here, I wouldn't have the time this time around. Just grouping up and clearing caves used to be fun.

I think possible this game is a bit backwards in the way you lv up so fast, that's what holds players on games, having said that there is also a need to catch up to the higher levels so i suppose it's all about balance.

I'm not too bothered about having all the best kits and rares to be honest, I've done all that last time around haha. It's just all about the fun for me and completing the quests and maybe hitting a few bosses where I can as a group.

Cheers guys for all your help, 1 thing mir had many many years ago was a very helpful community and I see that hasn't disappeared 👍

Hi guys, me again. Been levelling nicely just blasting through them rebirth quests.

Can I ask few items I've picked up and stored.

Antibiotics do I need these for something?
Also insects legs, eye, teeth.

And also the scrolls of section pieces what are they for is it worth me keeping hold of them or getting rid my store is almost full up.

Cheers guys and gals.

These are things for nooby quests. If you enjoy doing quests for the sake of doing them (like I do) then go for it, but the only reward is the satisfaction of doing it. The actual quest rewards are useless nowadays, they were designed to be useful 10 years ago

If you're not doing those nooby quests then just leave that stuff on the floor

Ahh thanks I'll drop them all out then not even sure how to start them. And there is loads of quests to do anyway. Cheers buddy as always very helpful.

Really struggling to do rebirth quest on the following quests.

- stone temple mobs too high lv 2 hits and I'm dead.

- stray animals don't seem to be where it says.

- PhotonMace isnt dropping in the places its supposed to, done a few hours in Insect Cave killed mobs and boss still not dropping.

any help or advice?

Cheers guys
